question

Do the command dial and sub dial work with grip. I purchase one from Amazon that fit nice and came in a nikon box but camera controls did not with it except the shutter button
Asked by: Anonymous
Make sure the shutter button on the grip is first turned to the On position or the dials on the grip will not work. It is possible that the grip that you previously purchased was defective. Normally, with the battery grip for the Nikon D7000, you would have full use of all control dials and buttons.

question

can be used with the new d7100 ??
Asked by: Anonymous
The Nikon MB-D11 is not compatible with the Nikon D7100. For the D7100, you will need the MB-D15: http://bhpho.to/1p4ONev

question

Does the battery grip offer a tripod screw on the bottom?
Asked by: Anonymous
There is a tripod thread on the bottom of the Nikon MB-D11 Multi Power Battery Pack, so you could attach the grip to a tripod.

question

Is this a genuine original magnesium alloy Nikon grip or a plastic imitation?
Asked by: Anonymous
The MB-D11 is made of a magnesium alloy, the Nikon grip is not plastic except for the battery holder.

question

Camera can 'see' the battery but none of the buttons/dials on the grip work. The info light doesn't illuminate during connection anymore either. Thoughts? Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
First, make sure the battery grip fits into each of the designated slots on the camera. Make sure you crack down the tightening screw pretty good. Tighten only using the hand. Once secure, then turn the camera on and test your controls. If they don't work, the only other thing I can think off is a short in the battery grip. Take your battery out of the grip and put it in the camera. If your controls still do not work, return your grip back to B&H. They have an excellent return policy. Hope this helps.

question

How much does it weigh with a Nikon battery in it (the EN-EL15)? Trying to calculate the total weight of the D7000 and this battery grip together.
Asked by: Tracy
Hi Tracy! I use my D7000 with 18-105mm lens kit with the MB-D11 grip. This set weights around: D7000 24.3 oz. (690 g) camera body onlyMB-D11: Approx. 335 g (11.8 oz.) with MS-D11EN and optional EN-EL15 battery AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR: 14.8 oz. (420 g)After a couple of shots you even notice the weight and I assure you that a second battery and to make vertical photos makes it worthy.I use it attached to my D700 all the time.
