    Logitech Z623 reviews

    Z623 THX-Certified 2.1 Speaker System is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbeatable for the price I was looking for the best 2.1 speakers for the price. Logitech is known for making excellent speakers, and they make several 2.1 speaker systems, but these are worth dropping the extra cash for. The base is absolutely amazing. I've never turned up the speakers past 75% because of how loud they are. Even when they were that loud, the sound did not get distorted at all. These are perfect for anyone who is looking for the best quality sound you can get without dealing with all the required space or other headaches of surround sound. Definitely one of the best 2.1 systems you can buy, and undoubtedly the best for the price. Thanks B&H for providing the best price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice addition for my new iMac. The Z623 is a GREAT speaker system. It's loud, precise, and very powerful, however, if you put it above 70% volume (laptop volume 100%), and play very loud rap music with the bass on max, the subwoofer will feel overpowered and likely to blow if you keep it at that volume for longer than a few minutes. Of course, anything above 50% volume with a 50% bass is already pretty loud, and will fill any normal room with a lot of sound, and probably damage your hearing at the same time, but if you feel the need to have extreme bass like me, it is not advisable to turn the sub waay up and the volume waay up. This will damage the system. In short, great system, don't turn it up all the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Punchy and loud I bought this unit as an all-purpose system. I DJ at small parties and this unit is much cheaper than a PA system with similar specs. In a small to medium sized room, this unit produces full rich sound. The bass is strong but doesn't overshadow the highs. Having the bass knob on the right satellite is a plus, so you can fine tune how much bass you want. Outdoors, this unit produces nice sound, but not as filling, but that's to be expected of outside performances, even with a real PA system, the sound will be diminished outside. I also use this system for my TV when i'm not performing, and as studio monitors when i am practicing. In both cases, the sound is clear and rich at lower volumes. I would buy it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good sound, economical choice I bought this system to upgrade the sound from the tiny speakers in my 46 inch LCD TV. It gives great 2.1 sound for little money, as compared with an expensive home theater system. The system has a choice of input connectors that makes hooking up to a TV (or other devices) convenient and simple. It has a convenient on-off switch and controls so that my technophobe wife doesn't have to operate anything. The sound balance of the system is quite good, with the bass being a little bit boomy, but this can be attenuated with the bass knob. I would definitely recommend this system as a reasonable cost upgrade to one's tv sound.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quit working after less than a month Sounded Great when I first hooked them up. My wife was listening to Pandora on about the third week after getting them and they suddenly stopped working and started making a clicking sound with the power going on and off. Of course I threw the box out so I could not send it back to B&H. I contacted Logitech and got customer service from India via the internet and after trying the stuff they said to do. It was confirmed to be defective according to kind sir with Logitech. So they gave me the info to send it back. We still have to see how that goes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sound! These speakers are amazing. Being an old school audiophile I never expected to hear this kind of sound from a reasonably priced set of speakers. The bass is strong and you can actually feel a breeze coming from the vent on the subwoofer when you increase the volume. Good reproduction on mids and highs with no distortion when cranked up towards the max. These were a gift from my teenage son who was looking for big sound in a small package that could be used with his iPod at parties. He was was a little skeptical at first but was blown away when he tried them out.He has already used them for three separate parties and now all his friends want to know where they can buy this setup. So glad I didn't spend the extra cash needed for the Bose speakers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These speakers are worth it! Great computer speakers for the price, just keep your expectations reasonable. Simple and powerful enough, these speakers will satisfy your needs until you purposly try to find the shortcomings, among which are somewhat weak mids and sometimes whistling highs. May serve as a small studio apartment acoustics that doesn't require special wiring or handling. Not a party type of speakers, however. If it were 2 dynamics per speaker, I would consider them next to perfect computer speakers. Anyway, these ones are totally worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic quality at a great price! These speakers are very clear and have nice highs and amazing lows. They're great if you play a lot of media from your computer. The subwoofer makes my room shake and Battlefield 3 sounds great as well. They're easy to set up and include stereo audio inputs, which is a very nice touch if you plan on using them for a video game console. I can't find anything that I do not like about these other than the absence of an optical input.
