Panasonic 100-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Reviews

An excellent lens, reasonably priced

With the Lumix GH5 I use prime lenses (mostly Voigtlander) for most production. For the documentary, run-n-gun type things I use a Lumix 12-35 and 35-100. I've only had the 35-100 a few weeks. I checked it out in low light conditions, shooting things near and far, and in exterior situations at full zoom and focused near and far. It is sharp everyplace and at all apertures. The lens is solid and well built and has a high quality feel. With the lens OIS and camera stabilization, it's easy to do hand held shots at very slow shutter speeds. Attached is a photo shot at 1/8 second, zoomed in close to the 100mm end.

Incredible Lens!

I use this lens with my Gh4 (soon to be Gh5) as one of my cameras for shooting weddings. It comes especially handy in low light situations with the camera at the back of the church in low lighting. The constant f2.8 aperture.

Definitely worth the investment

I love the lens! Solidly built but portable and lightweight. Great for action photography and portraits alike! A great lens at an affordable price! Another reason I love Panasonic, mirrorless and micro 4/3!

Love this lens and how smooth the zoom is on it. I also love the range paired with the lens not externally telescoping. You can take some great up-close shots without having to worry about your lens extending to great lengths. The steadiness of this lens, especially for a zoom lens, is phenomenal.

GREAT ZOOM

Great build functionality images. Perfect fit on Pen-F. If you don't want or need Mk II features Mk I is a great bargain when on sale to clear inventory. Great Service from BH.

Does this lens mount on a Canon T6I camera?
Asked by: Savannah A.
The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2.8 has the micro four thirds mount while the Canon T6i has the Canon EF/EF-S mount. Unfortunately, the two would not be compatible.

question

Does this lens experience lens creep? Either new or with repeated use?
Asked by: Robyn
I have not used this lens a great deal yet. There aren't any apparent problems with it. The construction is not as strong as the 11-35 or 35-100. It is very powerful for it weight and size.
