    Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1300 (120V) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 95.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable Power Protection I purchased this unit through the Trade-UPS program to replace an older model used to protect computers and networking equipment in a home office environment. We live in a rural area and are subject to frequent power fluctuations and outages and so this equipment is essential. I really like the display that allows me to monitor power conditions and battery status. On the downside, this unit makes a fair bit of fan noise when operating on battery power. The Trade-UPS program is a breeze - the new product arrives promptly and returning the old unit for recycling is the right thing to do. I have used APC for years and love the brand, products, and service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I would rate this 5 stars because I had a predecessor to this product which is no longer manufactured. This one is simpler to install, weighs less and has a couple more features than my old one which this is replacing. The old one lasted 9 years, and 5 years on the battery. I could have replaced just the battery, but felt it was time for new. Based on my previous experience, including with APS' customer service, I chose this brand again, and this updated model. . . expecting it to perform as well or better than the previous one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good UPS bad website The UPS just works, that's the good part. I replaced an old UPS with this unit because I wanted a more powerful unit. I did like the newer way of installing the battery, that's a definite improvement. But the website was VERY hard to use. I wanted to compare side by side, various models that had different waveform generation characteristics after reading some discussion on the internet. I found that hard to do since the website assumes you first choose the product line and then the size and I wanted to do the opposite. After I bought the unit, I found that I had apparently not seen other models of the same capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are great back-ups. The form (standing vertical) is better for most applications. I have this one next t my roll top desk to power all the electronics - the router, cable modem, computer that now continue to run when the power goes out. These are quiet, and have a 24 Volt battery that is easy to replace. The replacement battery is reasonably priced from B&H.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nicely upgraded product Installed this in the server room today. It replaced an old RS1200 that ran for about 4 years without any issues. This new 1300 UPS has many upgraded features including a user friendly display showing the load and other functions. The trade UPS program is great -- it's main reason why I registered and jumped through all the hoops to write this review. One suggestion -- can you consider putting some lifting handles on the case? The unit is quite hefty and it would be useful to have something for your fingers to hold on to. Otherwise, this is a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super reliable and great peace of mind I owned an APC Back UPS XS 1000 for many years and it worked flawlessly. In fact, it was still working and I only decided to buy this new unit to keep up with the improved technology and power saving features. I am a professional photographer and these days our stuff LIVES on a computer. I've worked through short power outages/spikes with no issue to my computer and connected peripherals. It definitely helps me keep my peace of mind. This 1300 model hooked up in about 3 minutes, so easy. It looks sleek too. Also, I discovered that the new Macs (like my iMac) have built in UPS management in them so if you have a Mac you don't even need to install Powerchute, it just all works seamlessly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from UPS Pro 1300 Easy to set up (don't forget to reverse the battery before using). My previous model was the flat APC model---6 years and still working. This vertical design can easily fit and compliment desktop use. The LCD is a nice informative battery & use status. Haven't gone through a real world test(hence the 4 *) but if my previous APC unit is a testimonial, I suspect this will perform similar or perhaps better. In the overall scheme of things, including a proven APC back-up is an easy and affordable way to layer a protective barrier between electronic threats and your expensive electronics while also providing a safety window to close down computer, printer, telephone & photo operations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and reliable I purchased the APC Back-UPS Pro 1300 to replace an 800 VA unit for a home office. The unit can easily handle my computer, dual monitors, phone and peripherals. It is quiet, reliable and hassle free. No noise or heat issues whatsoever. I used the trade-up program and there were no issues; the UPS unit arrived quickly by courier. Love that you can silence the alarms, and the digital read out on the front panel is very helpful. Compatible with the same version of the PowerChute software I already had installed for the older unit, which was a time-saving bonus. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
