Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would do the job if... It didn't smell so bad!! I ordered this with high hopes and it arrived today. The item does what it is supposed, but the smell is unbearable. It has a very potent gasoline/tire stench that can be smelled from a mile away and, when you put it on your shoulder right next to your nose, is unbearable. Gave it 2 stars because it does what it is supposed to, but I'm going to return it because I rather have a sore shoulder than have to stand that smell even for small periods of time. It's has got to be harmful for your lungs to smell that right next to your nose for prolonged periods of time. I don't know how the manufacturers thought that was OK in this day and age.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Saver When I go handheld I like to keep it simple, pop the camera off the tripod/support and go straight hands on matte box and metal on shoulder (unless it's an Alexa or something with a built in pad). I don't like waiting on any configuration. After shooting a week straight on a music video with a lot of handheld in this fashion my shoulder was destroyed and my back paid the price. This is a well thought through system that's easy to adjust and put on quickly. The multi layer pad evenly distributes the weight on your shoulder and is hugely comfortable. There are two different pads that are interchangeable, so you can trade some padding for a lower camera. Turns nearly any surface on the bottom of camera into a comfortable should pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shoulder protection I've been using this product for 4 months to pad my shoulder when carry long telephoto lens. It has eliminated the bruising & soreness I would typically have after a day in the field. Several reviews mentioned the odor of the product. The pads are neoprene, hand washing with dish washing soap will remove the residual oils and the odor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifesaver I used this on a 5 day Red Scarlet shoot using rigs with no shoulder support, just the raw bottom plate sitting on my shoulder. By the end of the 3rd day my shoulder was in terrible shape. I picked this up right before call of the 4th day. This is a lifesaver. Well made, with thick padding and thought out strap placement. The only issue is that it moves around a bit until it's broken in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item for Doc and Heavy Rig shoulder filming I shoot a lot of cinmea and doc/reality productions, and though the camera payloads vary dramatically, this shoulder pad accommodates both. As far as shooting films, usually you're not on the shoulder for that long between takes. However, you camera may weight 20, 30, or 50lbs+, so even a short time on the shoulder can really tear you to pieces. Having the extra padding - and more beneficially - the extra lift up in the camera helps to keep your spine in line and your deltoids from becoming mush. For doc/reality work, the cameras weight must less, but you may be on the shoulder for 2+ hours continuously (if your director/producer is not conscientious). Having this pad minimizes the wear and tear significantly, reducing on set stress and frustrations that usually occur when you feel like you're being used as a meat sack to hold a camera. Easy to strap on, quick to take off, and small enough to throw in your DP bag, this is worth the reasonable cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COMFORT AT IT'S BEST. The Comfort Cushion is an item that demonstrates quality and comfort in the function it performs, regardless of what kind of camera bottom plate you use, Comfort Cushion provides comfort like any expensive shoulder mount, even better in circumstences when you have to change position often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pad I could find I've been shooting handheld now for over five years and my shoulder pain was becoming an issue. This pad has given me the ability to shoot for longer periods of time pain free. Great product, would recommend to anyone in any industry that puts heavy things onto there shoulders.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect product for my purposes. As a handheld camera operator, my shoulder gets very sore from the grinding it takes during some long shoots. The camera comfort cushion worked liked a charm during my most recent 3 day shoot. Very happy I made this purchase.
