Datacolor SpyderCHECKR Reviews
I wanted to love this.
I got this product sent to me by the company to do a comparison between theirs and Calibrates colorchecker passport 2. To say you time, in short I would recommend the ColorChecker Passport over this. With that being said if you use capture one just use and 18% gray card because neither of the have a plugin for Capture One software. When in Lightroom or camera raw the Colorchecker Passport software is integrated with it so the ease of use is there and less hassle. I reached out to the brand reps at Datacolor and heard nothing back. I never got the software to work correctly and never got an explanation. I purchased the Datacolor SpyderX Pro for my monitor and loved it, so I hoped to love this to, but that is not the case. If I ever hear back I will update.
Perfect purchase
What I really like with B&H is they ship your item promptly.
Genius in my Pocket
Love it...so easy to use yet saves tons of time when processing your images. This little miracle provides a constant and consistent measuring stick for lighting and exposure.
Thank You for your help
With the advent of digital photography, we create thousand's of more images because their is no limit....but the time it takes to pick SELECTS then process those images takes time....and time is money. This Color Checkr creates a constant and saves time in the processing of digital images. I received an email about the release of this product from B&H and in one day I had it in my hands.....BINGO...that's MONEY Baby! Although I ordered this, knowing it was on hold and back-ordered, I did so with full confidence, because B&H has never let me down. I have been a loyal B&H customer since 1975 w/my purchase of a Yashica TL Electro-X camera. My relationship has grown into personal relationships with Bill Sammit and Dave. I could call on them personally and have them seek out hard-to-find items. As a Photography Professional and on deadline, when I need it...I NEED IT NOW! B&H has NEVER let me down. Once again, I ordered something they didn't even have in stock which is very rare...but within 2 days of getting it I had it in my hands! BRAVO B&H you'll always be my Pony!
Works great!
Accurate color balance in a durable package.
Price is steep for what it is
I use this for shooting fine art reproduction to provide a reference for colour adjustment. Considering it is a plastic case with a set of printed card and a small program, it is not inexpensive. However, if you need it you need it. www.eddycheng.com
Not Compatible with Photoshop
If you're planing to make camera profiles for use with Adobe Camera Raw or Photoshop, avoid this product. It may work well with Lightroom but making a camera profile to use with Photoshop is either impossible or so complex it is essentially impossible. CAUTION: This item comes sealed in a plastic clamshell that must be destroyed to open. Once you do that, B&H will not accept a return request.
