    Kensington K64638WW reviews

ClickSafe Keyed Twin Laptop Lock is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, Functional Theft Deterrent I work remotely from a laptop and a mini hardware RAID, often in coffee shops and libraries. I use this laptop lock to attach my laptop and RAID to a secure table or chair, which provides basic (and hopefully sufficient) theft deterrence. The ClickSafe lock mechanism is great if you're looking for an easy, quick locking solution and don't mind having the metal anchor point semi-permanently attached to your machine/device. The anchor point itself is slightly larger than a pencil eraser, is made of brushed metal, and looks quite nice (see the product image). It allows the lock to quickly attach to the machine/device; no keys needed. When it's time to remove the lock/cable, a simple turn of the key allows the lock/cable to be removed. One negative of this laptop lock is the thickness of the cable; I was hoping for a sturdier, more robust solution. While the cable is supposedly constructed to resist cutting, a proper cable cutter would have no problem severing it. The other negative is the price point. For what it is and the thickness of the cable, the price is far too high (a maximum of $20 would be appropriate).Overall, this is a good basic theft deterrent in any public or shared space. It is quite shocking that the majority of people do not use these, although the high price may explain it. If you're going to spend $500-$3000 on a laptop, $$ is well worth investing to protect your machine/device from theft.
