Focal Press 978-0-240-81126-0 Overview

What is Music Production? Explores and teaches you the skills that a successful producer needs. A great recording is not just a voice - it's a combination of artistic talent as well as the producer tweaking the artists performance to attain a certain inspiration/tone that makes the recording special.

This book uses everything from interviews and extracted data to impart a sense of what the producer does. You'll see how to work with songs, artists, technicians, pre-production and mixing - all geared towards creating a stellar recording.
