The EverFocus ECOR264 16 CH H.264 DVR with GUI and 1 Hot-Swap HDD uses H.264 compression for quality video images and for efficient data management. Video is captured at speeds up to 480 FPS (at CIF) for the combined channels, resulting in smooth video playback for each camera channel with every frame accounted for. Frame rates can also be individually adjusted for each channel to suit a particular security environment. A handy built-in calculator offers an easy way to configure frame rate distribution based on available hard drive space.

Live camera feeds can also be accessed using a compatible smart phone device. To save network bandwidth video can be sent to the hard drive at a high resolution of D1 or 2CIF and at the same time streamed live over the network at a low resolution of CIF.
This DVR was designed for quick setup and operation and features express settings for setup, archive, playback, and search functions. DVR functions can be accessed locally using the included mouse, via front panel controls, via the included remote, or optionally via the EKB500 keyboard controller. A front panel USB port makes it easy to offload footage to a portable USB memory device for archiving or transfer purposes. Support for one hot-swap HDD makes it easy to remove, replace, or upgrade the HDD without having to open the chassis and without having to first power down the unit.
