    Benro BH1 reviews

BH1 Ballhead with Quick Release is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Benro BH1 Ballhead I use the Benro BH1 Ballhead with my Benro 1980F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod. I love the snap in and quick release feature. I chose a ball head because I prefer to align my shot with one hand and lock in quickly, rather than turning 3 different knobs to get the camera on sight and level. This ballhead is working great for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommended Product Don't let the light weight fool you. This is a strong and sturdy ball head that locks solid. I actually mount a heavy painting easel onto the mount without any issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Ball Head I use this on my camera slider to shoot video. It works very well with the Panansonic GH4 camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great budget single-action ballhead I have a number of Benro tripod and monopod heads and like 'em. The price is very reasonable, design, build quality and finish are very good, and the ballheads lock firmly and don't droop after you let go of the camera, even with a long lens and the camera in portrait orientation. There's a load limit, of course, but these perform better than many other ballheads of similar size and price. I particularly like the BH1 because the quick release plate is compatible with the DJ80 monopod head and the smaller BH0 ballhead that came with my Benro A1690 Travel Angel travel tripod, as well as Oben's QRA-R2 Quick Release Assembly (which I put on a flash bracket). One plate on my camera lets me quickly switch between my two tripods, my monopod, and a flash bracket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied I picked this ball head up to hold a spotting scope (5-8 Lbs, depending on accessories), and occasionally my cameras (D90, D7000). So far it serves both purposes well. It seems very solid and well built while being very light for carrying around and travel. The movements aren't super smooth when the head is unlocked. They aren't jerky, just a tiny bit rough feeling. However, it's not supposed to be a pan head or fluid head, so I can't really fault it for that, but it's the only thing about it that doesn't impress. It does adjust easily when unlocked. and it locks up tight and solid with only a very short turn of the lock lever. So it's very quick and easy to adjust or re-position. The two-stage quick release system works well enough. It wasn't a necessary system for me, but I suppose it does add a bit of extra security when holding expensive equipment, and it works easily and intuitively. Also, something I didn't expect but was pleased to find, it comes with a 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 adapter bushing and allen wrench to install/remove the bushing. So you can mount the head on tri-pods with 3/8-16 or 1/4-20 mounting threads. This was a nice thing to find it included. Overall I'm very happy with this head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use. The hardest part about transitioning to this new ballhead on my 055XB was removing the old 804RC head .... what a bear! I found that a pipe wrench fixed that real quick - hooray for mechanical advantage! The BH1 is fast and easy to use, and the lack of protruding levers and handles is great when hiking - less snags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for large DSLR Great for use with Point a shoot cameras and advanced point and shoots. A Canon 5d mark II is held in place without movement, but I would not trust it for long exposures due to the risk of movement. It's is well built and I use it with the proper light weight equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! I always receive excellent products from B&H. This is the second one of these I have purchased and find it the most versatile ballhead I have ever used. Great product.
