    Benro HD3 reviews

    HD3 3-Way Panhead is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from HD-3 Panhead I wanted a heavy duty tripod system for long exposures and Panorama work. I ended up with this head and a Benro A3580F tripod. I couldn't be happier with this combo. It is a little stiff rotating the head with the two short handles, but it is acceptable and it is beginning to loosen up. Better tight than too loose. The head does not slip when tightened. Great for my heavy duty DIY wood panorama head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! Having had previously frustrating experiences with both a panhead and a ballhead, I am very satisfied with the Benro 3-way panhead. First of all, I was very pleased with the ease with which my camera or lens ring attaches to the panhead. I like that the handles do not stick out too far, making it easy to quickly deposit the tripod onto the back seat of my car; and there are only 2 handles and a round knob to deal with, making it easy to adjust without taking my eyes off my subject. The Benro firmly holds my 100-400L and my 70-200L lenses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product for heavy load Love this head. It's exactly what I wanted for my 400mm lens. Smooth motion and great quality. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars... I wish it would allow for the handles to swivel down for storage in the case with the tripod legs... I have to remove one of the handles to store it. Otherwise great tripod head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Construction I was considering the purchase of an L bracket as an accessory to my ballhead, but after using it, I'm glad I went with this 3-way panhead . The cost is about equivalent, but the panhead is so much more efficient and flexible, since your camera can be positioned in almost any angle. The locking mechanism holds even heavy cameras securely (I have a Nikon D810, often sporting a heavy telephoto lens), which will happily replace my ballhead mechanism. I also appreciate how smoothly the heads rotate and the apparent quality of the construction (I've only had it for a few weeks, so time will tell). The only minus I can see, is that the size of the unit is much larger than my ballhead, and installed on my tripod, will no longer fit in its carrying case. Still, I am happy to accept that slight downside in order to be able to take advantage of this units many benefits, and I could always detach the panhead and carry it separately - if I wanted to use my tripod carrying case.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the product isnot sutible for Pano.photo this product is able to make very strong control like FOBA product, light but strong this is very good I haave and I like to use it, but this product has serious desing of mistake, becasue camera mount axe of point is not same pan moving center of point, this is realy problem during taking panaroma shots,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Supports my D810 and a long, heavy lens. Secure, quick release plate. 3-Way pan is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same problem It has the same problem my other tripod has, if you put your camera in the vertical postion you can NOT tilt the head up.
