    Benro DJ80 reviews

DJ80 Monopod Tilthead is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a ballhead The DJ80 is better than a ballhead for use on a monopod because it's easier to position precisely and doesn't flop from side to side when released.I have a number of Benro tripod and monopod heads and like 'em. The prices are very reasonable, and design, build quality and finish are very good. I particularly like the DJ80 because the quick release plate is compatible with my Benro BH1 and BH0 ballheads as well as Oben's QRA-R2 Quick Release Assembly (which I put on a flash bracket). One plate on my camera lets me quickly switch between my two tripods, my monopod, and a flash bracket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Monopod Tilthead by Benro I'm planning a trip to Italy and wanted a light weight stabilization system for my equipment. I will also take a full blown tripod with ball head but thought there would be several occasions when this would fit the bill. My only complaint is that the camera attachment plate is a slightly different size than the one I use to attach my Manfrotto ball head to my tripod. So I will have to switch it out every time I go out, dependent on the occasion. Bummer! Something else to keep up with. Also, I find the quick release mechanism a bit awkward but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I think I will be very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! This was exactly what I needed! I photograph races (5k, 10k, etc.) and the majority of the photos are verticle/portrait, not landscape. And since I don't want my arm falling off while I photograph hundreds of runners, a monopod was what I needed and this tilthead was what I needed for the verticle photos. Easy to get use to, great quality, great price. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DJ-80 Monopod Head by Benro Great head for a monopod. I didn't want a ball head for my monopod because the only two positions I needed were landscape and portrait. I didn't need any other angles. This head fits my needs exactly and holds more weight than other similar heads. Smooth adjustments and stays in place once you tighten it down. I am using a Caon 7D with 24-105mm f4 L, and 70-200mm f4. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Novice Rating I am a novice of all things photography. I selected the DJ80 simply on it's product description. I was very pleased the first time I used it. Very sturdy, simple to use. Does what the description says and worth what I paid. I have purchased many products from B&H and have always been satified with their service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful Given I am using a monopod, the tilt function is all I really need. I was able to use it to tilt my camera at a negative angle and get a shot from 7 feet over my head with a remote when attached to my monopod. The construction and locking mechanism instilled me with enough confidence to try it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Secure Monopod Tilthead Used this tilthead with my Sirui P-326 CARBON FIBER MONOPOD and worked great to shoot portrait and landscape pictures of a Triathlon event. Release / locking system is very secure and strong construction. Had no problems carrying my Canon 5D Mark III with the 70-200 f4 L lens attached.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not that Lightweight I bought it for my Gitzo carbon fibre monopod. This weighs (0.6 lb) more than half of my gitzo (1.1 lb) monopod. Reason why I bought monopod is because of its less weight and I indeed spent more than my budget. Extra amount that I spent became useless after I put Benro on my gitzo monopod. However I didn't find any product from B&H that weighs less than 0.6 lb. Its quick locking system is good. I recommend this product if weight is not your concern.
