    Photoflex StarFire reviews

StarFire Digital Flash is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerfull and reliable Heavy duty and powerful manual flash. It's not that simple to use because some functions are hidden (you have to press several buttons together, and you can't guess it without reading the instructions). But it recycles very fast, and the construction quality is excellent. The only bad point is the battery door : it's difficult to handle and tough to close when batteries are in place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you paid for It's cheap and powerful, that's great. It's manual and simple, but you don't always need full-auto/TTL/clever stuff. BUT... the recycling delay is large and the light power is not consistent from one burst to another : variations of 1/3 EV are usual, sometimes I get random variations of + 1 EV (you can ear it, one burst pops much louder than the others... and your photo ends up overexposed). When huge power variations occur, it's usually enough to reboot the unit. But the point is : the device is not reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great variable power slave Nice quality. Compared to my old 283's with the variable power dial these are smaller and easier to use. Very simple to use; slave mode just works.
