    Pyle Pro PTED01 reviews

PTED01 Electronic Table Top Drum Kit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Back in the saddle again! I used to play real drums in a band, then sold them, married, children. Now that they are gone I wanted to start playing again. I selected this table top to see if I wanted to invest in more expensive kits. This drum kit is excellent, great drum sound. The number of programmed kits should cover all you needs. The built in speakers are good, but I added an amp so I could play louder. It has the output for head phones or amp. Kick pedals are good, however, on the carpet the bass tends to double kick. The only real downside is that I could not find a stand for it. You really need one. Overall, a great intro choice. Next up, a real kit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value and acceptable sound Suitable for learning or an old fool (65), like me wanting to make noise like I did many years ago. Benefits are size and being able to hide it under the bed away from the Grandkids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hours of fun We gave this to our 5yr old son and he couldn't be happier. The only xmas gift that is still being played with. I was a drummer from back in the day and it really is a lot of fun to see my son responding to these so quickly. I'm sure this could be used for a professional setting but can't comment on that. We researched all the cheaper desktop models and rather than waste money on something that had bad reviews, we decided to step it up in order to have a better quality device. and i have to say it paid off!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Drum Gimmick I got this for a middle-schooler to help him practice at home after playing on a normal acoustic set - it proved to be impossible. The Hi-Hat is in the middle instead of the left and the Snare is on the left where Hi-Hat should be. Also the Model in the picture has a 'Knob' on the control panel and the one I got had just more buttons - total button overload! W/O studying the instructions you can't do squat, and who has time for that? Overall the sound is decent, but so its the app on my iPad, plus the pads are quite noisy as you hit them unless (I guess) you hook this up to a seperate amp. If you are already a intermediate to advance drummer, you may have some fun with that at a party, but it's NO instrument that can be taken seriously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I needed I have worked with keyboards so the PTED01 was an easy way to work on understanding rhythm and get some drum kits. The PTED01 was perfect. The lightweight case is great, the controls are very intuitive. A wide range of drum styles. The drum heads have a good feel and look durable. Also had fun improvising on the keyboard along with the songs on the PTED01. Great value for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it but... The only thing I will say that's bad about this product is, if you're going from the 1/4 in out to record it, the ride cymbal sounds completely electronic and distorts. However, if you go in USB to Cubase which I'm using, the VST that comes stock with Cubase elevates that issue. The pedals are very sensitive and I was told you can use the drum pedals from Rockband for a better feel, though I have yet to do so. I recently composed a couple songs for myself as well as a score for a friends movie and the results were excellent, as it is touch sensitive. Because of which, it lets you get a certain degree of dynamic velocity. Keep in mind, I am not a drummer. I actually learned how to play on this product and my daughter is also learning on this machine. (I'm learning faster as I've been a musician for the last 30 years.) I see myself upgrading in the future, but for now, this piece does rock. A definite 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good overall. First, keep in mind the price. This is a very functional unit with good sounds. It is pretty much similar to the Yamore expensive Yamaha DD type units. This one has two very important improvements: 1)When you select a set you can adjust not only the overall volume of the set with respect to the accompaniment but also the individual drum pieces (cymbals, snare etc). This is basic and the Yamaha untis don't have it. When you play some sets there is always some part that is either too soft or too loud. 2) You can store more sets balanced to your preference. On the downside, there is a glaring omission in this unit. When you play a preset rhythm, you cannot mute the accompaniment (bass, piano etc), so the unit cannot be used as a drum machine. That aside, for live playing or practicing it is prette satisfactory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item Just got this today from B&H n thank you for the excellent shipping speed. n must say it is wonderful. Was undecided this one or the DD-65. For me having a usb port over the midi ports on the DD-65 was the deciding factor. Using it on my Ipad n Ipod touch with garage band n it works perfect. This is very nicely built n size. Lite weight. Can take it anywhere out n about or around the house. Headphones work great. All the pads work perfect no matter where you hit them on the pad. For the price n all its features. it is deff a keeper..
