Great lightbulbs

I use these for an overhead projector. They work great! Some of them don't last a full 20 hours but it's close. I buy 15 at a time a few times a year so I use them a lot.

It's a light bulb

Put voltage across the filament and it emits light. They last about the 20 hrs rated and then that filament disintegrates. Could a better bulb the same colour and brightness be made? Sure! Does anyone make one? NO. B&H has the best price and availability for these floods. Don't buy just one!

Lots of illumination!

I use these lamps in Impact, 10 reflector, floodlights, and they work great. Color temp is 3200k and 6500 lumens which provides ample illumination.

Eiko 250W is the perfect rating for indoor photo and DIY

I really like the Eiko 250W and 500W bulbs. Multiple source of 250W is way enough to shoot portrait at ISA200 f5.6 @1/125. The color rendition is optimum compared to CFL bulbs. This is perfect for shaping light in real time with modifiers and ideal for photo beginners (compared to trial and error with flashlights). It suits very well indoor video shooting on a budget as well. I'll buy them again.

Good lamp consistent color

For some reason these always take forever to arrive after ordering. They last longer than the stated 20 hours and the light is even and consistent 3500K. They get very hot, which is kind of nostalgic. :-) Good value.

Simple Light Bulb

Purchased two of these as an option for the more powerful 500 watt Tota lights that I have. Yes they are a different light, however there are time when I do not need the brightness of a 500 watt tungston.

Only one of the two light bulbs work.

Is this compatible with Smith-Victor KT500U?
Asked by: Shenru
It would appear so, yes. I personally would not use plastic sockets for tungsten lighting even if they are rated to work.

question

Does this work to expose emulsion on silk screen frames?
Asked by: michele
A more commonly used lamp for silk screening is the Ushio BBA Incandescent Photoflood Lamp (250W / 115-120V) B&H # USBBA.
