Great for GoPro wind reduction

When using the GoPro Hero 8, I've had mixed luck with the built in wind reduction feature. Putting these stick-on dead cats on the multiple mics on the GoPro substantially improved the wind noise and I didn't need to use the software wind reduction feature.
Don't leave home without it.

I've always hated the look of a giant microphone cable emerging from someone's shirt or worse being tucked under their neck when a collared shirt or jacket isn't available. This allows me to hide my microphone while getting the same sound quality.

Do you place the sticky part directly on your lav? I did so and it starts to rip off the coloring on my tascam dr10L mic.
Yes the stickie part goes directly on the lavalier, I've used them on multiple lavs in the past and never ran into this issue. However in your case try using the microphone with the clip to avoid further problems.

Hey Joshua, I often reuse the same cover on the same actors/subjects. They do eventually get frazzled and kinda gross cause there is no way to wash them, but you can easily get a few uses or more out of them before tossing them.

Will the overcovers help with rustling with cloths?
they do help reduce but not ilimate it all proper placement and strain relief on the lav wire is just as important, with folk that have larger chests right about the breast bone is best sticky side on skin with smaller chest put on shirt fuzzy side facing the skin... with males with alot of chest hair it is best to hide the lav elsewhere, these are also one stick wonders once you remove it you will need a new one, you cant reuse.

Are these overcovers the same as Rycote's micro windjammers? The only difference I can see is the adhesive doesn't have hole.
Hi: thanks for your question. The Micro Windjammers are much smaller, and calibrated specifically for use on cameras in terms of fur length and overall size.
