Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think I need a second one Love the multiple levels. Solid when in use. Feels sure enough that I am not left cringing when mounting my D3 and favorite lens on it. I am really happy about this panhead being so light after feeling how sturdy it is because I hike in to all of my destinations. I got to use one borrowed from a pro photographer friend and I bought one the next week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very secure and stable head This is a sturdy tripod head. I has several different movements all of which are smooth. My camera mounts securely. This does not have a cheap feel by any means. This is a 3 way that offers panoramic, lateral and front tilt movement. When I purchased this item I didn't realize that the panoramic movement was 1 of the 3 movements. I find that when the camera is flipped up to a portrait orientation it can't be adjusted up and down. The shaft or legs of tripod would have to be adjusted to compensate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the smoothest for the price! I am independent filmmaker and use this head on my second camera. It is very easy to set up and use. Though my second camera is mostly stationary when I have had to pan and tilt on this camera, it has given me some of the smoothest traction. The head can also hold large amounts of weight to include a dslr with follow focus and matte box and still pan smoothly. For the price I am very impressed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great panhead IF/WHEN you can get your camera off of it! I like everything about this panhead EXCEPT for the fact that I have a TERRIBLE time getting my Nikon D750 OFF the tripod after I've locked it in place and used it. The tiny little orange button one must push in order to unlock the quick release plate holding the camera onto the tripod is inadequate. I have to fiddle with it for a minute or so before the button will release the lever to remove the camera from the tripod head. I have two release plates and the tiny button wears out my thumbs trying to get my camera off the tripod with either of the release plates. This is such a hassle I'm thinking of buying a different panhead. Anyone else have this issue? It's the same on my Nikon D7100... just doesn't want to release the camera once it's on the tripod. I'm afraid one of these days my camera is going to get permanently stuck on the tripod!!! The tripod is fine, but that release mechanism is horrid!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice value This is an affordable and effective tripod for shooting video on small to medium HD cameras and DSLRs. The fluid head helps you keeps shots balances and it's pretty smooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected The perfect Panhead. Pleasantly surprised by the craftmanship and the attention to detail, like the locking of the quick shoe, also adjustable to match your camera's center of gravity. Very smooth to operate. Easy and fast to disassemble to store in a bag for travel purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice panhead for older heavy duty tripod I use this panhead on an old heavy duty Bogen Tripod with a nice old Celeston 1000 mm reflector telescope. The old Bogen head was pretty hard to use and required much force to lock. This new head makes using the telescope much easier. It is a pretty well-made head and was easy to mount.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the Price I needed an entry level head acceptable for minor video. This does the trick at the right price.
