The 3WA-1700 from Nady is a 3-way power amplifier that allows you to drive an entire speaker system from a compact 2RU rackmount chassis. The amplifier can drive left and right main speakers and 2 subwoofers simultaneously without the need of a crossover. A selectable low pass filter lets you maximize the punch of your subwoofers, while a selectable low cut filter minimizes muddy bass and low-end rumble. A filter/source switch enables the low pass filter and uses the L/R input signals for the subwoofer, or disables the filter so you can use an external crossover or the sub channel to pass full-range signals for monitor feeds or sound reinforcement.
The amplifier offers XLR and 1/4" inputs, plus binding post (banana jack) outputs for wide compatibility with a variety of sound systems and devices. Detented volume controls on each channel let you make precise, repeatable adjustments. LED indicators for power, signal, clip, and protect are available on each channel for visual status monitoring. Protection circuitry includes noise-free on/off, built-in DC offset, independent DC and thermal overload protection on each channel, and short circuit and speaker protection. A set of 4 variable-speed cooling fans keep internal components from overheating for reliable operation.
