The Kirk BL-60DG L-Bracket for Canon 60D w/ BG-E9 Battery Grip allows you to switch from portrait to landscape orientation and vice versa with your 60D – efficiently, without the need to tilt your ball head and re-level the shot. The single piece of machined 6061TG aluminum was designed to fit a 60D that's mounted to a BG-E9 battery grip.

On both of its sides, the lightweight aluminum BL-60DG L-Bracket is compatible with Arca-Swiss-Style quick-release clamps. It mounts to the bottom of the BG-E9 via a standard 1/4"-20 screw.

The bracket preserves your access to all important camera controls, such as the rubber side hatches, the battery compartment, the remote switch (even in the vertical format), and the camera strap loop. Notched into both the horizontal and the vertical segments are sensor-centering lines – specific to the 60D, of course.

    BL-60DG L-Bracket for Canon 60D w/ BG-E9 Battery Grip is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for Landscape and Portrait I use this on my Canon EOS 60D with Canon BG-E9 Battery Grip. It makes the switching from landscape to portrait very easy, and much more stable than having the camera hanging down by the side of the ball head by turning the ball head 90 degrees. It can be a little bit difficult to open the rubber hatch on the camera side when the bracket is mounted on the camera, but it is possible. Mounting a remote shutter cable can be a bit cramped, depending on cable design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made Product I happen to have three Kirk L-Brackets, haven't been disappointed by one as of yet. I get the battery grip edition because all three cameras I own have B-grips. Very convenient to be able to position camera in the horizontal and vertical position without fiddling with the tripod ballhead. I have to admit, pulling out any connected accessories; such as the shutter release cable is not always an easy task. Overall i believe its an excellent L- Bracket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Perfectly, Works Perfectly As expected, the bracket fits my 60D w/grip perfectly, with full access to the side covers/ports. As expected, with the L bracket on, the swivel screen can only be opened 180 degrees from the back of the camera, but cannot be swiveled when wide open. Full 180 degree 'spin' can only be done when screen is partially opened.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits great, very pricey Works perfectly. Well crafted and finished. Minor limitation on fold-out lcd for the 60D. Interfaces as designed with the Wimberley mounts.
