The film boarder will show up with this?
Asked by: Safwan
Yes the Lomography DigitaLIZA 35mm Scanning Mask allows you to scan the border of 35mm film, even the sprocket holes. Of course you can set the crop marks smaller in the scanning software in case you do not want to see the border or sprocket holes.

The requirement by Lomography is that the scanner have a backlight. the Canon Scan 9000f has a backlight so we say you are good to scan.

question

Does it work with Epson V600?
Asked by: Aleksandra
I bought the Pana-Vue 110 Film Carrier for my Epson V600 because another reviewer said it would work. However, I didn't have luck with it. I couldn't get the Epson Scan software to recognize it on the scanner bed. So, I tried to trick it by placing it within one of the other negative holders that came with the scanner. This worked and I was able to scan. But the image quality was pretty bad because the Pana-Vue holder was too far away from the glass when set within the other holder, resulting in a blurry image.

question

Will this work with an Epson v800 scanner? I need to scan Kodak 126 instamatic film and my 35mm holder cuts off the top because the image is off-center. This claims to image the holes as well, which sounds promising. But it also appears opaque in the pictures -- how does it let the light through?
Asked by: Uwe B.
Yes it will work with your scanner, this scanning mask is made to include the sprockets and because of that it works a little different than the typical scanning mask (since the sprockets usually hold the negative while scanning). The mask is not opaque once it's been set up.

It will work fine. But it is difficult to align it. I will buy it again only if i want to scan the sprockets of the film.
