Sescom Bidirectional Stereo Audio Switcher

Sescom Bidirectional Stereo Audio Switcher
Key Features
  • Switch Between Two 3.5mm Sources
  • Bi-Directional: 1 In/2 Out or 2 In/1 Out
  • Connect Two iPods to Your House System
  • Switch Line Inputs to Amp, Mixer, or PC
The Bidirectional Stereo Audio Switcher from Sescom is a versatile audio device that lets you switch between two inputs or two outputs via three 3.5mm jacks. If you plug your iPod into the switcher, you can switch between two different outputs, like headphones and a stereo system, without unplugging anything. Conversely, you can plug two iPods into the switcher and they'll both run out to the same output, like a stereo. You can then switch between active iPods.

The Bidirectional Audio Switcher has other uses as well. It can switch line level inputs to amps, mixers, or PCs, or switch line level outputs between amps, mixers, or PCs. You can switch your PC sound card output between headphones and speakers, choosing to listen publicly or privately without unplugging anything. It's possible to switch your computer output between two sets of reference monitors or simply to bring rear-mounted computer mini jacks to the front of a desktop PC. It's also great for recording multiple sources with digital recording software. This switcher is a convenient tool to have in your studio or home and it also prevents wear and tear on your equipment.

Basically, I need a headphone A/B switch. That is, switch between two audio sources (computer output and mixer) without having to unplug my headphones. Will this do?

Need to connect 2 CB radios (both mono connections) will this switch work with mono to toggle between the two?
Asked by: Matt M.
Yes, I think this stereo switch will work for use with a mono hookup. In the worst case short the two channels provided by the switch together.Peter H.

it works only with audio? or with microphone?

This switch is going to work with any analog signal send them , but for a microphone switch you need to have a preamp before the switch, and them go from the preamp to switch, also you are going to need the adapter from xlr to 3.5mm, you can use it like a switch from 2 Input A/B Switch to 1 output or 1 Source to 2 switch output A/B .
