Asked by: Anonymous
I just bought the vivitar teleconverter for Canon .I have tried it a few times and the auto focus works great .I find my connection from camera is tight but connection to my lense, I have to be careful my 300 comes loose. I know tis now so I am really careful with it . probably just a defective in teleconverter

question

I have a nikon d5500 camera.and i want to use the teleconvertor on the nikon 200_500mm lense. Will my pictures be sharp?

You may have to use in manual mode. I use mine on an FX format camera. But the photos do all come out sharp.

question

Will this work with my Nikon D3200 using an 18-300mm lens?

I would think so. It works on my D7100 with both 18-200 and 89-400 lenses.

question

Does this work with my D610 with a 50mm 1.4? I'm planning to buy a 50mm 1.4 or 85mm 1.8 for wedding shots, but im new here

Teleconverters are not compatible with lenses that have a focal length wider than 70mm.

question

Will this converter work with my Sigma 150-600 mm Contemporary lens on my Nikon D7200?
Asked by: Anonymous
The lens will not work with that teleconverter. And Sigma lenses are a bit different and really only work with a Sigma brand teleconverter. But in general a lens to autofocus on a Nikon D7200 with a 1.4x the lens needs to be f/4 or faster. So that lens will not function with any teleconverter on the D7200.

question

Which converter works with the D300?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Vivitar 1.4x Teleconverter for Nikon will be compatible with the D300. That being said, when it comes to teleconverters, compatibility is really dependant on the lens. Lenses with a focal length of 50mm or shorter are not generally compatible with teleconverters.

question

will this work with the Nikon 3100?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, the Vivitar 1.4x will work with a Nikon D3100, however it is largely dependent on which lens you are using; teleconverters are typically incompatible with lenses that have a focal length wider than 70mm.

question

Does it support Auto functions on my 7100?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes it does. However not every lens is compatible with teleconverters. Please take note of the following information when using teleconverters: Zoom lenses whose widest focal is less than 70mm are not compatible with teleconverters due to their construction/design.When using teleconverters, you are not only magnifying the lens by the conversion rate of the teleconverter, but also the F/stop value. For example, when using a 2x converter on a lens with a variable f-stop range of f4-5.6, your lens' f-stop range is now f8-f11. Most SLR cameras require at least f8 worth of light in order to autofocus. With that in mind most lenses that are not luminous to begin with will require you to manually focus the lens as the autofocus feature wont likely work.
