Using the Atlona KIT-PROHD3 Custom Installation Testing Kit you can diagnose almost any video signal issue plaguing your A/V equipment installation. This kit combines a signal generator, a multi-input monitor, a signal analyzer, and a battery for powering the monitor. All the equipment is packed nicely into a hard protective case with custom foam cutouts. See below for more information on the individual items included in this kit.

  • AT-HD800 Portable HDMI Signal Generator

    The Atlona AT-HD800 Portable HDMI Signal Generator allows you to test video resolution/timing of video signals in any digital format. The signal generator comes with 13 test patterns including 3D tests, Side by Side, Top and Bottom, and Frame Packing (a mandatory format for all HDMI 1.4 devices).

    Featuring an HDMI output and HDMI pass through, the AT-HD800 generator allows switching between test patterns and content from other digital sources. In addition, the HDMI input reads EDID (extended display identification data) information to determine the display’s capabilities (type of audio and video formats the display is capable of showing). This minimizes the installation problems and also assists in the EDID troubleshooting.

    The AT-HD800 HDMI Signal Generator supports computer testing resolutions such as VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, WUXGA, and HDTV testing resolutions such as 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 720p (50/60Hz), 1080i (50/60Hz), and 1080p (24/50/60). Additionally, it supports 3D HDTV testing resolutions such as 720p (50/60Hz), and 1080p 24Hz.

    With 2-channel LPCM (linear pulse-code modulation) for audio testing, the HDMI signal generator offers encoding of audio signals digitally. In addition to a portable design, it also has a protective rubber case, and can be operated via a battery.

  • 7" Pro HD Testing Monitor

    The Atlona 7" Pro HD is a portable A/V testing monitor, a handy alternative to carrying the traditional large type. It allows you to test video signals by testing installation cables and/or the actual A/V equipment. Featuring HDMI and VGA inputs, and including a VGA to component adapter cable, the 7" Pro HD supports any HDMI, VGA, or component source at resolutions up to 1080p and 1920 x 1200. It can also be used to test 3D sources. When testing 3D content, it will display a message saying "3D Content is being Received". An optional HDMI to DVI adapter can be incorporated to also support DVI sources.

    For residential and commercial installations, integrators and installers will be able to test equipment and transmission gear prior to the installation of displays, to ensure ahead of time that everything works perfectly. In manufacturing QC departments, it will help confirm that products perform at key frequencies and resolutions. In the broadcast market, it can help camera operators see what's being recorded or view footage playback.

    The monitor is HDCP compliant and will specify whether the content coming via HDMI/DVI is HDCP or not, excellent for troubleshooting. A power supply is included, and an optional four-hour battery is supported (Atlona model # AT-BAT-DIS7PRO).

  • AT-UHD-SYNC 4K HDMI Emulator/Tester

    The AT-UHD-SYNC 4K HDMI Emulator/Tester from Atlona is designed to analyze errors, identify issues, and restore failed HDMI signals. It also provides a pre-set or learned EDID to an HDMI source, ensuring the HDMI source provides a signal optimized for the display to achieve the best picture and sound. The AT-UHD-SYNC is used by installing it into the HDMI signal path between the source and switcher or between source and display if no switcher is present. The device provides an HDMI input and output on the rear panel for these connections. To test and analyze the HDMI connection, the AT-UHD-SYNC is equipped with three LEDs which indicate the presence and state of 5V, hot plug detect, and HDCP signals, helping the installer isolate the cause of a connection failure. It resolves issues that cause costly and time-consuming troubleshooting calls, such as loss of signal, intermittent or flashing video, snow, and color space incompatibility where the image is tinted purple or green.

    The AT-UHD-SYNC performs signal regeneration to resolve clock-stretching issues with unsupported HDMI 1.2 devices. It provides the necessary 5V to the display to initiate an HPD event and establish EDID handshaking. The device can also provide EDID information to the source to ensure the correct video resolution and audio format are sent to the display. The device features a front panel selector with nine preset emulation modes, as well as a learning mode to capture the display's EDID in the event the display does not match one of the presets. The AT-UHD-SYNC allows you to identify problems which are easily remedied by replacing an accessible HDMI cable. For more complex issues involving inaccessible cables, hot plug detect issues, or missing 5V signals, the AT-UHD-SYNC provides you with a quick and permanent in-line solution allowing the system to operate correctly and reliably. This cost-effective device saves the installer valuable troubleshooting time. The device is also a permanent in-line problem solver for HDBaseT distribution applications between HDMI 1.2 compliant sources and HDMI 1.3 or 1.4 compliant displays.

    The AT-UHD-SYNC measures less than 3" in width and depth, and less than 1" tall. Its slender design ensures easy integration into confined spaces, and a pair of wall mount brackets is included for ease of installation. It is USB-powered via the supplied 5 VDC/1A power supply or from local USB devices using the included Mini USB to USB A cable.
