The 3' Vello Off-Camera TTL Flash Cord provides creative photographers with the ability to remotely fire Sony/Minolta flashes with ADI / P-TTL capabilities. Removing the flash from the camera's hot shoe allows the photographer to create unique and dramatic lighting styles that are not possible with a traditional shoe-mounted strobe. This coiled cord measures 3', which is enough distance to accommodate hand-held lighting styles, or when keeping the flash mounted on a compact flash bracket. Also, off-camera lighting reduces the harsh shadows commonly encountered with direct on-camera flashes and gives your photographs a more natural look.

One side of the TTL cable fits directly into the camera's hot shoe to ensure that all of the camera's exposure data is maintained. The other side can be attached to any stand, tripod, or device with a standard 1/4"-20 threaded stud or flash shoe mount, and the shoe has a locking knob to ensure your equipment is secure.

Off-Camera TTL Flash Cord for Sony/Minolta Cameras (3') is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as Adverstised After co-shooting a wedding with another photog who used off camera flash extensively I because interested in trying this out on some sports photography. Using a Sony HVLF58AM attached to this cord I was able to achieve some unique lighting effects when used in close quarters in conjunction with the Sony 35mm/1.4 lens. Attached to the cable the flash retained all functions just as if it had been mounted on camera. An added feature is a standard female screw mount on the flash shoe. It actually mounts better on a stand than if that plastic shoe was used.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Short and Sweet It does what it's supposed to do: connect a Minolta/Sony hot shoe flash to my Sony A77. I'd say the extended reach is about 26 comfortable inches, though you can stretch it to 3 feet (which will have more tension on the connectors than I'm comfortable with).Solid plastic connectors and a thick coiled cable all seem to be well made and will last me for years to come, I suspect, as long as I don't abuse the cord. I took one star of the review because the claim of 3 feet.... in my opinion. Useable length is more like 26 to 30 inches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly As Expected This cord perfectly matches the Sony/Minolta hot shoes and has all the pins needed for my NEX-7 and Sony flash unit. The coiled length of this cord is a perfect size for my Stroboframe to move the light source above red-eye territory. This connection lets me skip red-eye preflash to snap the exact expression I see in the viewfinder and saves that pre-flash juice too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TTL works without problem With this cord I finally can use off camera flash, while retaining the TTL function. It works smoothly and the cord is pretty solid. It is easy to use and works without any problem. This is a high quality product for a decent price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A supper piece of equipment I use the flash cord on my a350 Sony camera, with a CB mine-RC bracket to get the flash off the hot-shoe.This product does every thing it said it would..(PERFECT)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works with my Sony A99 and HVL-F60M* I shoot a lot of close up subjects with off camera flash and do not want to deal with Sony's (Minolta's) on camera pre-flash communications that can show up in the final shot. I purchased this as a trial and it works perfectly for my needs. *I have to use the hot shoe adapters to go from the new multi interface shoe on my equipment to the older iISO Sony/Konica Minolta/Minolta interface used by the cable. Thankfully my camera and flash each came with an adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favor this one ove the $$$$ one! Very well built. Fits perfectly well on the shoe. The cord is well attached to the sockets. No misfire. This is essential to remove your flash from the camera to aim the light from upward like the sun. Very usefull for portait or object photography. Use this to prevent/minimise shadows projected on the wall behind the subject

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality period! I bought this to replace another cord that was undependable. This one is much higher quality. I couldn't be more pleased with this one. It works smoothly, is solid, and the cord is more substantial. This one is the perfect length for using with a Stroboframe. It feels like a premium product for a bargain price.
