The Viper HD 15x50 Binocular from Vortex boasts premium optical elements for accurate color and tack-sharp resolution. Its high density, extra-low dispersion glass elements are treated with Vortex proprietary XR anti-reflective optical coatings for optimal light transmission. Phase-correcting, dielectic coatings on the roof-style prisms further enhance the quality of the light path. The entire system is argon-purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof, fogproof, and dustproof performance, and the lenses bear ArmorTek coating for protection from scratching, oil, and dirt. 15x50 Viper HD Binocular is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from high quality, a good buy Optical quality is very high. Only time will tell about the mechanical quality but after a couple of weeks it seems very good. Fifteen power binos are not for everyone, everyday. I bought them for spotting and identifying wildlife at long distances in more open ground situations. While not lightweight, they rode well over a four-five mile rough ground hike, which surprised me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Binoculars - Recommended It had been YEARS since I had purchased new binoculars but I was looking for something smaller (lighter) than what I was used to using. I went to my local Sporting Goods store and compared these side by side with Nikon, and Swarovski. I was not at all familiar with the Vortex brand but the sales guy was very knowledgeable and highly recommended these. My 45 year old eyes could see a big difference between these and all other brands including Nikon. When I looked at comparable Swarovski Binoculars the Swarovski's were slightly better. I'll tell you this though, they were not $1000 better. These are sharp and clear even out to the edge. Love the warranty. I think they are a really good value for the money. Oh, I am not sure how to say this but if you are looking at an object say 90 yards away and you are focused at 90 yards and you want to see something 100 yards away you have to SLIGHTLY focus the binos. It seems you have to focus a lot at smaller distances than binoculars I have had in the past. Like a camera with a low F stop. Hope I am making my meaning clear here. I absolutely DO recommend this binoculars and in fact, I am going to start looking at other Vortex products....can't beat their warranty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and excellent optics For a while I debated whether a 15x binocular would be too strong. After trying one in a store I decided to give it a go. B&H carries about 25 binoculars that are 15x. At 805 grams, this is BY FAR the lightest 15x binocular available. Next up is theMinox 15x56 BL at 1100 grams and after that all bins are 1200 grams or more. I find the image quality to be excellent, and was surprised how easy it is to use these binoculars handheld. They are also nicely compact and can focus rather closely, much closer than the stated 16 m. The included pouch is the just right size, with the bins sliding in easily. My only minor gripe is the ocular distance: I must remove the rubber lens caps to get the barrels close enough for my eyes (59 mm). All in all, I'm very happy with these bins!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Binoculars I recently purchased these binoculars for an upcoming mule deer hunt, and I have thus far been quite satisfied with them. All one must do is pick them up to feel and see the quality construction. They focus effectively, they have excellent clarity even out to the edge of the field-of-view, and they have very good light-gathering qualities. The only thing about these binoculars that could be better is the eye relief. For glasses wearers, it is a little difficult to get the full field-of-view without pressing them quite firmly against your face. The field-of-view is optimized without glasses in place. They are comfortable to use for long glassing sessions, and I don't notice eye fatigue or irritation even when using them for several hours at a time. Overall, you can't beat these binos for the price. They are of the highest quality, work exceedingly well for glassing areas about 1-3 miles distant with good clarity and stability, and are backed with an unbeatable warranty. You can't go wrong with these binos!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Last, a Good, Light Weight 15x50 binoc These really reach out and grab information. The field of view and brightness are not on par with an alpha 8x42, of course, so these could be better for twilight use and don't compare in that regard to my 16x70 or 10x70 Fujinons, but the optics are excellent, being bright, sharp and contrasty for daylight use with some fall off at the edges (mostly due to curvature of field). Only two binoculars today don't have that problem, the Swarovski 10x42 Swarovision and the Nikon 10x42 EDG, both about $$ list. Depth of field is minimal and focusing is and needs to be precise, which some might find difficult. Focusing is a tad stiff, however, but it is not a problem. Your copy might differ. What is great is good 15X optics in a relatively light weight, small and hand holdable package. Bracing helps but beyond that I feel no need for a tripod. Of all my 16 or so binoculars, including top alpha binoculars by Swarovski, Bushnell and Nikon, these and my Bushnell 12.5x50's get the most use, in reverse order. You can simply get more information about what you are looking at with good powerful binoculars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get a lot of glass for the buck! I was torn between a spotting scope or Hi powered bino's. Research and advice made this a great choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great clarity and versatile Almost 2 years ago I purchased the Vioor HD 15x50 binoculars and they are awesome! I do a lot of back country hunting and I take these instead of my spotting scope mostly due to weight, but I do not give up much as being able to put up the 15x50’s and getting a better look at the game I’m searching for. They are so clear and I can look through them all day without stress on my eyes. Awesome product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will spoil you. I bought a set of these since I'd had such great success with Vortex scopes. I felt that the other brand 10x binoculars I was hunting with were leaving quite a bit on the table. First season out, I knew immediately that the 15x and HD glass were just what I was after. The only problem, nothing short of this level of performance will ever be enough again, so I had to buy another pair for my wife.
