    SanDisk Blade reviews

8GB Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than buring cds I must be the last one around who does not know how much easier it is to save and transport data using these USB flash drives. They are relatively inexpensive and very portable. Certainly alot more convenient than burning data to a cd. I would highly recommend these flash drives to anyone interested in a quick and easy way to save and/or transport files or photos. As one of my freinds said, welcome to the 21st Century.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Basic USB 2.0 Drive This is a basic 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I used it to create a Recovery Flash Drive as per the instructions on Apple's support site. I can insert this drive in my Mac, hold down the Option key and start the computer. I will be able to use the recovery tools on this drive independent of my Mac - very useful. The USB drive was not very expensive and SanDisk is a good company. I would have liked a cap for pin side of the drive, but I guess this is mostly used a lot to transfer pictures for people and the cap would get in the way or get lost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little Flash drive! A great way to send large video files to family & friends by way of snail-mail -- love it! BTW -- remember to reformat the drive to NTFS for files larger than 4G.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only as big as needed, looks cool Not any bigger than needed, and not too small to handle. Just big enough to be easy to hold between thumb and finger. Simple curved design helps make it easy to hold and control, and looks cool too. Works without fuss, faster than my older drives. What else is there to report? Small enough to be easy to lose, so make sure you have a small closed pocket for them in your laptop case/pack/bookbag, or string them on a lanyard using the hole provided.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my use I bought this to make a bootable installation drive for the Mac OS Mountain Lion, since Apple no longer provides it on CD. This drive is the perfect size, since any more capacity would be wasted, and the price is certainly right. It worked well, and the process was fast, so the RW speed is good. It has a slot on the end that I used to attach a tag, so I could label it, and to help find it when needed. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slower than most similar usb drives Bought this usb drive to transfer files for school (mainly pdfs, word docs, pictures, and video). It works well and came formatted in Fat32 so it was ready to go for Macs and PCs. This thing is tiny compared to other drives and seems a little flimsy. Performance wise it's not the fastest drive but also not the slowest. It's suitable for general use but if you are super antsy then go for a high performance drive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thrifty option I used to send discs out to my clients. I now USB flash drives. They have all come down in price and I always send 2 for redundant safety. These are fine and they were the lowest price 8 gig SanDisk at the time of purchase. I don't really care if they are the fastest to read/write so if that is important to you then their are undoubtedly better options. Sending 2 more affordable drives is safer than one expensive one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value! I use these as a means to distribute pic's to various friends and family who request copies of my photos. They are only rarely returned so I try to get best value and these Cruzer's fit the bill. The quality seems great, they are easy to handle and I've never had a failure. Can't ask for much more than that!
