Key Features
  • 1000x Filter Factor, 10-Stop
  • Darkens Entire Image
  • Allows Reduced Shutter Speed
  • Allows Wider Aperture
The B+W 52mm MRC 110M ND 3.0 Filter is a neutral density filter with a 1000x filter factor that provides a 10-stop exposure reduction. Its 3.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing the aperture or slowing your exposure time, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes eight layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers greater protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity. This filter features an F-Pro brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Does this fit the drop-in filter holder for a Canon 500mm lens
Asked by: Pia
I am not a Canon user so I can't answer from that point, but I doubt it because it is a threaded screw on filter (52mm).. In any case it is a great filter.

question

Will this filter fit into the Filter draw on the Nikon 200-400mm and other large telephotos?
Asked by: jedd r.
While it may work, unfortunately, Nikon states they cannot confirm if third party filters are compatible with the lens. The lens does state that it uses 52mm filters, so if it is thin enough, it should work, but I cannot obtain confirmation from Nikon, and we are unable to test the configuration. If you do own the lens and purchase the filter and it does not work for your needs, we do have a Return Policy, so you would be able to return the filter for an exchange or refund.
