Vello FreeWave Fusion Wireless Flash Trigger & Remote Control for Canon SLR
Key Features
  • 2.4 GHz Reduced Interference Frequency
  • Range Up to 320' / 100m
  • Individual/Group Wireless Flash Trigger
  • Up to 3 Light Groups/7 Grp Combinations
The FreeWave Fusion Wireless Flash Trigger & Remote Control from Vello is a versatile, reliable remote control kit that will trigger off-camera flash units and studio lights from up to 300 feet away. It can be used to configure up to three different light groups, which can be triggered individually or simultaneously, for a total of seven different combinations, using its multiple groups feature. Simultaneous triggering of multiple light groups requires additional FreeWave Fusion Receivers (available separately).

The FreeWave Fusion also provides the convenience of a wireless camera shutter release, ideal for photographing wildlife, and also for macro and close-up photos or long exposures, where the slightest camera movement can ruin a picture. Working on the 2.4 GHz frequency gives you reduced radio interference and an extended range (up to 320' / 100m)—you don't need to have line-of-sight alignment, either, as radio waves will pass through walls, windows and floors.

Note:

Since the FreeWave Fusion does not transmit TTL settings, use of a flash or light unit with full manual control is recommended. You will need to set the power output manually.

The FreeWave Fusion is compatible with most cameras, flash units and studio lights. However, for flash wake-up functionality and/or high shutter speeds, you will need full Canon TTL support via your camera, flash and FreeWave Fusion trigger.
This remote does not provide high-voltage sync protection, and is not recommended for use with flash units that have a trigger voltage of more than 6V.

2.4GHz Radio Frequency

Reduced interference and improved wireless signal quality.

Extended Range

Range of up to 320' / 100m

Multi-Purpose

Use as an individual or group wireless flash trigger, and/or as a shutter release remote trigger.

Multiple Groups

Configure up to three different light groups and up to seven different group combinations.

Flash Sync Speed of Up to 1/320s

Take advantage of sync speeds that match the rating of your camera all the way up to 1/320s (on compatible cameras only).

Flash Wake-Up

Simply depress the trigger button on the transmitter half-way to pull the flash out of "sleep-mode". Sleep mode allows the flash to power down in between shooting sessions to extend battery life. The wake-up function is only available when used as part of a complete Canon TTL system.

Note! If your flash does not have a wake-up function, you may be able to turn off sleep mode. Refer to your flash's manual for instructions.

Versatile

One receiver works with multiple camera and light models. Just swap out the connecting cables.

Dual-Function Shutter Release Button

Press halfway to focus; press fully to trigger shutter.

LED Indicators

Confirm pre-focus, shutter release, flash wake-up, and flash trigger in wireless mode.

Included Shutter Release Cables Support:

From the video it's hard to tell, but will this fire the camera shutter immediately when pressed (as a wireless remote trigger)? That is all I care about. Looking for a new trigger that will do that for my action shots where I use the camera on a tripod and snap wirelessly at the right moment to catch brief action poses. Last two I have found had a slight delay. I had a trigger before that worked really well but it broke and is no longer available.
Asked by: John
These should fire the camera immediately, however the camera may have a delay if it is not in manual focus.

question

I have a Canon 600EX and 430EXII and want the ability to trigger both units remotely. My question is would this require a receiver for each unit or could I use the 600EX to trigger the 430EXII?
Asked by: Fred D.
To trigger both the 600EX-RT and the 430EX II flashes, you would need this kit plus an additional receiver such as the Vello FreeWave Fusion Receiver Only (For Canon), B&H# VERFWCR. This set up would only provide you with manual control directly on each flash unit. https://bhpho.to/2m6IRJD

question

Is this product compatible with the Canon 430EX II Speedlite TTL Shoe-Mount Flash.I want to be able to use wireless shutter & off camera flash simultaneously. If it will not work, can you recommend a product that will? I am shooting with a Canon 7D.Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
Hi,What you described looks like this to me: ( The ....... represents wireless, and the --- represents direct connection.)(Flash---Receiver_A) ..... (Transmitter_A---Camera---Receiver_B) ..... (Transmitter_B)I have the same question about using wireless shutter and off camera flash simultaneously. I have 2 receivers and a transmitter (extra receiver bought separately). I tried to set up like below. (Flash---Receiver#2) ....... (Receiver#1---camera) ........ (transmitter)The flash fires, and the camera took a picture. But it is clear from the picture that the flash has no effect - no change in exposure. Is this a valid setup, or do I really need 2 separate transmitters as you described? If my original set up is supported, I was hoping to eventually use the following setup:(Flash---Receiver#1) ..... (Receiver#2 --- builtin flash on camera) .... (Transmitter)Please help.Best regards.

question

I bought this product to use with a Canon 5D Mk II camera with a Canon 430 EXII flash. But was wondering if would work with my Canon F1-new film camera and Vivitar 283 flash also?Steve
Asked by: Anonymous
Generally, this product has not been test with older Canon film SLR cameras nor high voltage flash units like the Vivitar 283. A more suitable option would be the which is more universal and is able to withstand higher sync voltages is the PocketWizard Plus IV Bonus Bundle 3. Basically, one unit would go to the camera while the other fits on the bottom of the flash. https://bhpho.to/2ka5Kvb

question

I already have 1 TX/RX set. Can I get just another receiver only?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is possible to purchase the receiver separately. B&H does carry the Vello FreeWave Fusion Receiver Only for Canon (B&H# VERFWCR).
