Can this model be slaved to a Canon 430EX III RT ...
Can this model be slaved to a
Canon 430EX III RT master?
According to the specs, it can act as a slave, but for infrared only (Canon calls this "optical"), not for radio transmission (the "RT" in Canon Speedlites), which means it will need line-of-sight. Your Canon 430 EX III RT does both, so the short answer to your question is yes, but you need to be aware of the distinction in setting it up, and also for placement of the two speedlites. In other words, this might not work real well if you plan on placing it behind your model as a rim light, for example, or hidden behind a planter.
