The Sescom LN2MIC-ZMGHN-MON Line Out to Camera Mic In Headphone Tap Cable is designed to connect the line output of portable recorders, such as the Zoom H4N & H1 to the microphone inputs of compatible DSLR cameras (see compatibility chart below). The cable measures 18" in length, features a male 1/8" (3.5mm) mini to 2.5mm submini TRS connections, a female 1/8" (3.5mm) TRS headphone tap for monitoring, and a -25dB level attenuation pad for "stepping down" line level audio to microphone level. LN2MIC-ZMGHN-MON Line Out to Camera Mic In Headphone Tap Cable is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, Attenuation Works Great Using this on a GH2. I do not use a Zoom but the mics I use for this camera are hot. One being my wireless Lav with a Countryman EMW and the other a Sennheiser MKE 400. Even with the new firmware and everything set to the lowest levels on the GH2 and mic, it would record 6db or over. With this cable you can also use the headphone monitor input for a mic and now I have plenty of play on the audio levels. So you can use the cable with a Zoom or mic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as Advertised Provides attenuation for a line input to microphone plug on Panasonic DMC-FZ150 DSLR. Using with Zoom Hn4 recorder. Set up levels are trial and error with no meters in cam, but 50% output from Zoom recorded well. The socket in the cam is recessed slightly so had to file the side of the plug so it would insert fully. The wires are a little fragile so care will be needed. There's a female socket to monitor the Zoom audio output however you can't raise the level without possibly over driving camera input. It would be possible to insert a small headphone amp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LN2MIC-ZMGHN-MON Line Out to Camera Mic This Sescom cable is a great asset in combination with my Panasonic Lumix GH2 camera and Zomm H4n audio recorder. It allows me to record and monitor the line output of the recorder on the GH2. Converts line to mic output.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with GH@ and H4n I'm using this to monitor audio running from my H4n to a hacked GH2. I record on both the camera and recorder for redundancy. I tend to use the audio straight into the camera and use the H4n file as the backup. The quality sounds great!. I thought the monitor volume might be an issue but seems strong enough and has not been a problem as of now. If you want to save yourself some time syncing later then do yourself a favor and pick up this cable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What DSLR users have been waiting for... This cord is easily one of the most useful things a DSLR user can have in his kit. Being able to go right from your Zoom H4n, or whatever you use as a pre-amp for your gear, right into your GH2 saves so much time and sounds great. The headphone monitor jack is extremely helpful as well. I had said goodbye a long time ago to monitoring by ear and just keeping an eye on the levels between my H4N and my GH2 (the level monitor was a big reason I got the GH2). But being able to monitor what's coming out of the H4N makes the whole process of capturing sound a lot more comforting, especially when you can be mixing as many as 4 channels of sound (coming in in stereo) to the GH2. The one thing that makes me nervous is the construction of the jacks to the cord don't seem to be solid. I hope they won't be a problem. Hopefully with a little care in unplugging jacks will prolong the life of this cord. As long as it lasts, it will feel very worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The right tool for the right job Finding a cable to do this is very very difficult, but this company tends to make high quality products that you can count on working. In this case the split cable by Sescom, worked out of the box and resolved a problem for me that would have taken much more expensive equipment to fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Works perfectly I use this to listen to headphones and mixer that runs into my Panasonic Lumix GH2. I wish it were a little longer as I have to put it on top of my camera. But otherwise it works great to monitor whats going between the camera and mixer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work like a gem! I use the LN2MIC-ZMGHN-MON Sescom cable for my Lumix GH2 and Zoom H4n set up. Works wonderfully. I get the Zoom's audio recorded into the video file on the GH2. Also have a back up as the audio is being recorded on the Zoom H4n at the same time. I can sync that audio in post if need be as the waveforms of the movie audio and Zoom's audio are almost identical. (No clap board needed) The cable does what it says. Lowers the output level of the Zoom's headphone/line out (-25db's) to a safe line level as the signal goes into the GH2's mic input. AND I don't loose my Zoom's headphone monitoring jack via the split cable design. *NOTE* The volume level for headphone out is a factor. I keep mine at 50 to 60 but no more as the unwanted room noise becomes more of an issue as you up the volume on the Zoom's headphone/line out. So the only down side, depending on the situation, is headphone monitoring volume can be more faint than I would prefer. All said and done, the above comment is a small price to pay for what this cable allows you to do. Great product. Very well built. Worth the price.
