The B+W 67mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter is a general use, clear filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. Aside from the reduction of unwanted blue casts, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections while providing over 99.8% light transmission, each glass surface includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers greater protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. The Nano coating associated with XS-Pro filters provides an additional eighth layer over the MRC, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency.

B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. This filter features a thin brass filter ring to minimize the potential for vignetting while enhancing durability and jamming prevention. To further reduce the possibility of vignetting when this filter is in use, the filter ring's outside diameter is slightly larger than the actual thread size. This may prevent the use of some lens manufacturer bayonet hoods.

This UV Haze filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Such filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your front lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good quality filter I leave this filter fitted all the time on my Canon EF 100mm F/2.8L lens as a 'protection' to the front lens element and to keep it clean. It came in the original B+W packaging and the quality of the ring itself (e.g. thread) is very good. To screw on a filter to a lens, my practice is to turn the filter anti-clockwise 1st and find the correct 'seating' in order to start crewing it in clockwise to tighten. This way I minimise damage to the threads. I opted for the XS-Pro becuase it has a thread on the front as well, and becuase it has even stronger glass treatment than the standard F-Pro mount.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great filter, not much flair. Protects my 70-200 f/4L I use this 100% of the time on my 70-200 f/4L so I don't have to worry about a lens cap. Obviously, this only helps against scratches and not breakage, but it's way easier than dealing with caps. It is a very thin filter which is great if you have a wide angle lens with the 67mm filter thread, or want to stack another filter on top of it. The coating appears to resist fingerprints very well. It also seems to clean quite well.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the extra money Like many people, I figured that A UV filter is a UV filter, and purchased whatever looked okay and cheap. I had $ lenses mounted on $ cameras,with a $ filter mounted on the front. Then I started noticing how cheap filters DO affect your photos. A dark bar that appeared intermittently was due to a cheap polarizing lens. Uneven sky coloration was due to a UV filter that had developed some starnge hue over half the face; it was like it was changing into a gradiated ND filter!No more. I use B+W exclusively, and never have a care or worry. They are quality filters that never let you down or ruin the shot.

Unlike other brands, this filter adds a bit of extra sharpness. With its low profile, lens cap attaches easily. Of the many filters I've used over the past 30 years, B+W filters appear to be the best! Additionally, B&H Photo always exceeds my expectations with super customer service!

I bought this one with the nano coating that does indeed make it easier to keep clean. Well made, good glass. I have always kept a B+W filter over the front element of every lens I own. Purists can pontificate but they are cheap insurance and any degradation of the image is not discernible to the naked eye. Or the nattily attired one either. I'd recommend B+W filters to anyone who doesn't already know about them, while wondering how they could stay so uninformed and still manage to draw breath.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Filter I use UV and Clear filters on the front of all of my lenses. I have tried a lot of different brands and models of filter. I have settled in to using XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter exclusively. They clean easily and tend to stay clean. I have had trouble with scratching and pitting on other filters, but these have been very durable for me. They are also pretty thin so work well on my wide lenses. I highly recommend.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product Beautifully built filter. Heavy, solid and screws onto the front of my Nikon lens smoothly like they were made for each other. I've purchased many filters over the last 50 years and this B+W is the best. Even the livery and type match the Nikon look. I was a little hesitant because of the slightly higher price but it's well worth it. The nano coating really works...rain drops just fly off the slick surface.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from High quality I never understand why people pay $ for a lens and then stick any old UV filter for protection on the end of it. The B+W filter is very high quality glass that has no distinguishable distortion or vignetting. Small outer ring does not impede my quick change hood at all. Very pleased with my purchase and the quality of the filter is well worth the price.
