Sony BVM-E250 Overview

The Sony BVM-E250 Trimaster EL OLED Master Monitor (24.62" / 625.35mm) delivers high levels of color accuracy and reproduction, precision imaging and consistent picture quality with a resolution of up to 1920 x 1080 (full HD).

Incorporating Super top emission technology, the OLED display panel delivers excellent black performance, quick response with minimal motion blur, and a wide color gamut. With a micro-cavity structure, the monitor uses an optical resonance effect which enhances color purity and improves light emission. Color filter for each RGB enhances the display's color purity and also reduces ambient light reflection.

Featuring a dedicated 12-bit output accuracy digital signal processing engine with a nonlinear cubic conversion color-management system, the BVM-E250 Trimaster monitor delivers excellent uniformity of display, gamma performance, picture quality consistency for strain-free viewing, and a highly-accurate I/P conversion with low image-processing delay. The monitor utilizes a RGB panel driver that supports 10-bit color depth for high image quality. In addition, it also includes features such as HD frame capture, pixel zoom and P&P.

The BVM-E250 supports standard inputs that include 3G/HD/SD-SDI, HDMI, and a display port input. Four additional slots on the monitor allow you to attach 6 optional BKM input boards.

question

why is this so expensive?
Asked by: Anonymous
This monitor is made for businesses that demand the very finest video performance possible. The Sony BVM-E250 supersedes it's predecessor by almost completely eliminate(ing) any shading or off axis color shift. This is critical to companies involved in the finishing of multi-million dollar motion pictures. Components like these enable them to make sure they may get the color just right.

question

So what's the big difference between the Sony E250 and the F250A models?
Asked by: Peter S.
The suffix A apparently denotes the difference from the previous 250 model with a major optical improvement. These new models almost completely eliminate any shading or off axis color shift.
