Featuring a frequency range of 100 Hz to 11.3 kHz, the Voice Tracker II Array from Acoustic Magic is a mountable microphone designed not only for recording lectures (including any question-and-answer portions thereof), but for facilitating large-scale conference calls as well. It compounds upon the technology of its predecessor by implementing six separate microphones for its automatic vocal tracking technology. The device also offers an on-board acoustic echo cancellation algorithm for eliminating the faraway vocal redundancies often occurring in large conference calls. It's enabled for VoIP-based conferencing, and connects via USB to computers or wall-jacks (available separately).

Position Lights
A five-element green position light lets your know where the "listening beam" is pointing in real-time, allowing you to make sure you're getting signal from the right portions of the room.
Noise Reduction & Echo Cancellation
Noise reduction technology and automatic echo cancellation helps bring the voices of main speakers to the forefront without redundancies. The unit is particularly adept at mitigating stationary noise, such as that coming from fans.
DB9 Connection
The location of the speaker in relation to the Voice Tracker II can be pinpointed and represented digitally when plugging into its onboard DB9 jack. If echo cancellation is not required, you only need plug the unit into your computer via USB.

Voice Tracker II Array Microphone is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best I've found so far. For large rooms with lots of echo and outside noise, I've never found anything better than this. The tracker really does follow you around the room and works well. Audio is fairly crisp and it does a fantastic job of filtering output noise from the speakers. The packaging an accessories were a joke. The 3.5mm splitter included had terrible feedback so I had to replace it. Absolutely nothing included, directions, screws for the mount.... nothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great when used within its limitations The echo cancelling and noise rejection are great. Sound is clear. Note that this is a USB 1 device, and seems to not work with USB cables that are longer than the one provided with the microphone. to use a longer cable, power the mic with a usb power adapter and a short cable, and use the analog mic output.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works better with Mac than PC We purchased this mic to use with a conference room InFocus Mondopad interactive TV. The mic works ok with the Windows 7 software drivers (not great). The issue is that the noise cancellation software for the Mondopad (and/or the mic) sometimes cuts words off. We have not been able to figure out how to adjust those settings. Additionally, the mic sounds a bit muffled on PC. When I connected it to my iMac it sounded fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job well Set on the 15 conference room table, this mic picks up whomever is speaking regardless of their location in the room or at the table. Voice quality is crisp and clear. It maintains a low profile so it's as if it's not even there. It easily installed in seconds. Excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent for classroom capture We're using these mics for omnidirectional classroom capture in a 30 to 40 seat classroom. In a microphone shootout the Voice Tracker II out performed a selection of five other USB microphones in terms of clarity, gain, and frequency response.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use a good 5VDC power supply If you are to use the audio output, make sure that the usb power supply is VERY good. Forget about powering it from the PC or a wall charger (too much noise). I did some tests with a good 5 VDC power supply and it did a huge difference in terms of audio quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything as expected So far, the Voice Tracker II is performing exactly as promised. It connected easily and is able to handle speakers in different locations on a web conference call without feedback. Delivery was on time.
