Rolls BT301 reviews

BT301 Pocket Battery Tester is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fantastic product...for 5 minutes I was delighted to find such an inexpensive battery tester and ordered two. One never worked, the other worked like a charm. I was rapidly sorting through the pile of iffy batteries on my desk. Suddenly they all registered completely dead. I tried it on known good batteries and realized the tester was no longer working. I returned the original two for two others. Neither works consistently. I believe the problem is in the connection of the swing-arm part of the mechanism. I'm basing this on the fact that the 9-volt tester on the side has continued to work well while the swing-arm (for AAA-D)sometimes registers and sometimes doesn't. I plan to take one apart and by-pass this arm. It will do away with some of the ease of use, but it should still work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works Great!...for 5 minutes I purchased two of these and one was bad from the start. The other worked fantastically and I was working through a pile of iffy batteries on my desk. Then it quit registering. I returned both for two more. These two both work when using the 9v test port on the side, but the swinging arm for testing all other battery types has a poor connection. If it is twisted and pushed just right, it works occasionally. I plan to keep these two units and bypass the swing arm. The tester itself seems to be OK.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk The design and price were very attractive. We ordered it to help keep track of old batteries, and partially used ones. Unfortunately it doesn't work most of the time. Stay away from this junk!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work I did not want to believe the previews reviewers and decided to order one of this units. Well, the tester doesn't work using the arm. I haven't tried the 9 volt side so I can't tell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work I bought this because it seemed simple, and also didn't require a battery, cuz who really wants to put a battery inside a battery tester am I right? Problem is, it didn't work. The first battery I tested was a new battery and it said I had to replace it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pocket Battery Tester I'm not sure I needed this battery tester, but it was inexpensive and I like gadgets. It works well at home, but I'd like to see how well it holds up to travel in my dive camera bag. Great way to check suspect batteries without using more expensive test equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rolls BT301 Pocket Battery Tester I have an old battery tester it it will check most batteries, but not a button battery. That's the purpose of why I purchased this Tester and it fits in your pocket or camera bag with little space used.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheap There are much better battery testers on the market. It works but not great quality. Broke apart after a few battery tests and we had to snap it back together.
