Nikon 7568 overview

  • 1Description

Taking its place at the top as one of their flagship series, the Nikon 8x32 EDG Binocular is outfitted with complementary optical technologies that work together to offer the performance required by tactical professionals and discerning hunters, birders, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Every part of the light path gets special attention to improve the view. This starts at the objective lenses through the use of anti-reflection fully multi-coated extra low-dispersion (ED) glass; moves to the prism system, which is phase-corrected and dielectric-coated; and finally comes to the eyepieces, which employ a field-flattener lens system. Together these systems maximize light transmission, eliminate internal interference, and correct spherical and chromatic aberrations to produce bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color fidelity across the distortion-free field of view. A moderate magnification brings subjects in for observation while preserving a generous exit pupil, and the 32mm objectives strike a delicate balance between a compact and full-sized binocular — keeping the form factor small and easy to manage with competent light-gathering capability.

Built for comfort and durability, the body design is ergonomically shaped to fit well in the hand for a balanced feel. The chassis is made of a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy that is wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armor. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and submersible to almost 20 feet, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperatures or weather conditions. Nikon includes a set of removable angled eyecups that mold to the side of the user's eye socket. These keep stray peripheral light from interfering with the view and eliminate distractions during viewing.

Light and compact but with light-gathering ability that rivals larger models, the 8x32 EDG is an ideal optic for mid-range activities such as hunting and birding, sightseeing or watching sports, or just about any general glassing needs.

Optical Performance
  • Moderate 8x power magnifies the view while preserving the exit pupil and eye relief
  • 32mm objective lenses ensure a compact form factor with improved light-gathering ability versus larger models
  • Roof prism light path helps to maintain a slim profile for easier and more comfortable handling
  • Extra low-dispersion glass reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations for increased contrast, improved color rendition, and sharpness without distortion across the entire field of view
  • Highly reflective dielectric prism coatings minimize internal light loss to maintain image brightness and improve contrast and clarity
  • Phase-corrected prisms eliminate internal interference in the light path to improve contrast and resolution
  • Anti-reflection, fully multi-coated optics produce bright, high-resolution images
  • Field-flattener lens system corrects lens-edge distortion for clearer views at the edge of the field of view
  • Apparent angle of view approaches wide angle to present an immersive observational experience
  • 409' field of view at 1000 yards
Use and Handling
  • Short closed-bridge design offers more room for the hands while providing a stable platform for the internal focusing mechanism
  • Large slip-resistant center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate in cold or wet weather, or while wearing gloves
  • Locking dioptric correction allows user to correct for optical prescription for sharper views
  • 56-72mm interpupillary adjustment range
  • Turn-and-slide twist-up/click-stop rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
  • Tripod mountable with optional adapter
  • Long 18.5mm eye relief helps to reduce eye strain and improves viewing comfort
  • 4mm exit pupil helps to keep entire view visible in low light for easier viewing
Construction Details
  • Magnesium alloy helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength or stability
  • Textured rubber armor protects against bumps and impacts while providing a slip-resistant grip — especially in cold and wet weather
  • Ergonomic body design fits naturally in the hand for a more comfortable feel and easier use
  • Nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and submersible to 16.4' (5m) for up to 10 minutes, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditions

Nikon 7568 reviews

8x32 EDG Binocular is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Image You Can Get I'm a complete optics snob and in my search of the holy grail of bins, I came upon these. These are the pinnacle of optics, when it comes to binoculars. Not just this brand or even the EDG series, but also this model. The EDG 8x32's have the widest field of view @ 409' at 1000'. The contrast, brightness and resolution is astounding. The focus is like butter and vastly superior to Leica's and basically everyone else. The best attribute of the EDG binos is their color rendition. The color pops and is great for birding when you need to see all the colors for identifying birds. Everyone who looks through mine gasps and says things like Wow!, They're so clear! or It's like HD vision or something or They resolve so much more detail than my eyes! etc. I think the size, magnification and exit pupil of the 8x32's is just perfect. The 42's are heavier and more bulky, with the 10x bins you get a smaller exit pupil and more handshake. The 8x32's are where it's at unless you're going owling at night where you'd benefit from a larger objective. These transmit more light than your eyes (and even other Brands or lower 42mm models), so in any other conditions than night you'll be just fine. I even picked up a pair of 7x50 Nikon binos for night use, and these 8x32's still performed better. You can't go wrong. No cons other than price, but quality comes at a cost. They have no rolling ball distortion like the Nikon Premier series and some other brands do. They come with a nice case, and a very comfortable neoprene strap and have plenty of eye relief adjustment to accommodate any eyeglass wearer. Just get them and enjoy!
