Olympus 261056B reviews

Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6 Lens is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of Zuiko 40-150mm ED Zoom Lens I purchased the new lens before a trip to Israel and used it extensively during our trip. The lens was an absolute pleasure to use. The lens is small, compact and very clear and easy to use it worked perfectly with our Olympus E500 camera and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is much smaller and of higher quality than the older 40-150 lens offered by Zuiko. Great purchase, great price at B&H ... After reviewing our pictures upon return home the photos taken with the 40-150 lens were great with good resolution and very sharp colors and images.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unbelievable value for the Money Waouh, can't believe the quality of the lens compared to its size and weight.I bought this lens for a trip to China where i needed to reach over 100mm (200mm equivalent in 35mm) and I rarelu used this focal length. so I figured the quality would be average but OK for occasional use And no this lens is rocking. At the ridiculously low price of this lens when bought with the kit, there is no hesitation to have Since there is no 40mm Olympus prime, I use this zoom a lot today for women photography with the 40mm at full aperture and this lens is very very sharp

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent lens I've been using the lens with my E-510 to photograph wild critters wandering around our yard including deer, birds, a squirrel and some teenagers. I've also been trying to photograph a chipmunk, but dang they're fast. In any case, the lens is quite compact and works very well. The photos are sharp and I am very happy with it. I have noticed, on occasion, focus has been a bit slow at extreme focal length. The camera ultimately finds the mark, but there is a bit of hunting. This might be fixed by trying one of the other autofocus modes. It would be nice to have a faster lens with a shallower depth of field, but for the cost, I am perfectly happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Surprises I haven't had much opportunity to use the lens yet. I don't take a lot of pictures around home. I have managed to make a couple of outings around home just to try the new E-620 and lenses. I'm very pleased with the results. The lens seems bright and sharp. I was leery of the relatively high f4-5.6 max opening compared to the F2.8 max I had on a film camera from years ago, but the image finder seems decently bright for most conditions I am likely to shoot in. I just moved up from my first digicam which was an Oly 3030. One reason I stuck with Oly was because I was impressed with the sharpness of the lens on that. I am not disappointed in this new on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Budget Performance An all out excellent performer! Build quality is good for a budget lens and this one has internal focusing, meaning the front element does not rotate. Very little chromatic aberration or barrel distortion, and you can't beat the weight on this little gem... It is so lightweight, yet doesn't feel cheaply made... Excellent choice for those using the Four Thirds System. Expertise: Professional

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a bargain!! I am using this lens on an Olympus E-PL1 (Micro) 4/3rds camera. I have only had it a short while so I can't comment on durability, but it is small for it's (35 mm) capacity. The lens hood reverses and locks on to the lens when not in use. The auto focus works well. In my case I need the adapter to use it on my micro 4/3rds, but the adapter is small. I leave it attached to the lens when the lens is removed. All works smoothly. In my case the adapter cost more than the lens so, of course, I would prefer a lens that didn't need the adapter, but the lens value is unbelievable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be ready for a shock! I have been shooting SLR for many years for work & pleasure. When in France this summer I decided to leave the SLR system home & use only the micro 4/3 with a Olympus E PL2 with electric view finder. I carried the whole system including 40-150 in a small bag. What a joy. I must confess that I use long lenses the least but when I used the 40-150 I was very happy with the size & results,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens for the price! This is a great lens for under $150.00. It focuses well even at 150mm. For macro, it works great when your subject is about two feet away; then the subject is in tight focus and the background nicely blurred. Over all, I am totally satisfied.
