Manfrotto Veloce VII overview

  • 1Description

The white Veloce VII Backpack from Manfrotto is a shooter's backpack. If you can't get the shot with all the gear this bag holds, you're doing something wrong. It's rated to hold a DSLR with or without a grip and a 70-200 attached - and held in a shooting position - plus an additional 3-4 lenses, flash, small accessories, and if that isn't enough, a 17" (43.2cm) laptop.

On the outside, the pack is made from rugged, water-resistant nylon. As stated, it's a shooter's pack and the reason it is stems from the marvelous ability to access the main compartment from the top via the top zippered flap secured by a touch fastener. Isn't it wonderful knowing you can retrieve your camera (with lens attached) without having to open the entire bag? In the middle of a crowd, that's a real security bonus. Strap your tripod to the back with the included connections.

Inside the Veloce VII, there are movable, touch fastened dividers that you can arrange to suit whatever gear you need to carry on a given day. The camera and 70-200 are held securely on a handy L Bracket that supports the body/lens combo in a face-down position. Open the top flap, remove the setup, get your shot, slip the combo back inside, reseal the flap and you're off to your next shot. In addition, the Veloce VII has a protective, slip-in 17" laptop pocket. Stop for lunch, remove your computer, email your shots, make some notes, write a letter or work in Photoshop. Finished? Slip it back in its place, and, again, you're on your way. And before you leave, access the organizer pocket where your iPhone, PDA, pens, business cards or other small items are stored.

As an added feature, if you don't want your tripod secured on the outside of the bag, you have the option to store it inside the bag, protected in its own section by the padded dividers. What a blessing when traveling.  And speaking of tripods, there's an interesting and very functional integrated pocket that is perfect for fitting Manfrotto pocket series tripods.

The back straps are adjustable and comfortable making this an easy pack to tote around. At a very reasonable price, this backpack gives you all the benefits and features that make it appealing to anyone who spends time outside or who travels and needs a pack that can hold a world of gear securely and comfortably.

    Manfrotto Veloce VII reviews

Veloce VII Backpack (White) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Wonderful Bag. I chose this pack to have a united kit. A couple Cameras, a couple tripods (one being the pocket model) room to hold lenses, batteries, chargers, and any other randomness I could think of. This Manfrotto pack gives me all of that. It isn't perfect, in fact I don't know anything that is. Its dividers are a little blah, and I would appreciate more defined spaces for the camera(s), you know something snazzy to hold it 'just right'. With the few faults, I WOULD buy it again, and I WOULD recommend it. I don't give it 5 stars only because that would mean that it was perfect, it's not. But without having something custom designed to meet all of my pickiness and OCD-ish-ness it serves it's purpose and gets the job done. While looking good in white!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe, sturdy, comfortable To deter theft while traveling abroad, I require a backpack that opens from the side touching my back. This meets that criterion and does so splendidly. It is sturdy, meaning that it stands up straight when I place it on the ground. It is comfortable because the back side has padding and is not unwieldy, even with heavy camera gear and a 15-inch MacBook Pro. It is roomy because it can hold a tripod on the inside, a camera with two long lenses, a camcorder, and small bags I bought separately to hold spare batteries, cleaning supplies and memory cards. I also like the chest strap connecting the shoulder straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the perfect gear pack I can put everything but a real tripod in this, and it qualifies as carry-on (barely, YMMD). A 5D, 4 lenses, variety of accessories, a fluid head, and a couple of small light stands. So far the best gear pack I've seen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for large gears It is a great bag for large gears, but id like to have more adjustable dividers and small pockets inside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roomy Backpack I like that this pack is large and can carry at least two cameras and even a camera like a Canon C100. So, it is a roomy pack. What I am not crazy about is its lack of pockets. I would even like pockets with zippers on the inside of the pack. Also, the area where a small tripod could fit within the pack would have been better if it were able to also accept dividers. That area is constructed with a sort of nylon I believe. Overall, It can carry more equipment and doesn't shout out camera gear inside here to the public. Thanks B&H!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy & safe Camera bag Most of all, I like the built and absence of access to the bag while on the back. Its very spacious inside. My Mefoto roadtrip tripod fits comfortably. My DSLR with 3 lenses, external flash, flash triggers and loads of other accessories rest with adequate space around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Manfrotto Camera backpack This backpack is very comfortable and holds gear securely. The quick access compartment makes it easy to retrieve the camera without opening the whole bag. The storage compartment for a travel tripod allows you to carry all you need for a field trip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good low priced backpack This is one well built camera and laptop backpack. My only problem was that the ad led me to think that the laptop could be removed without opening up the compartment. Overall I think it will still work out well
