Manfrotto MB SSB-5BC overview

  • 1Description

The bungee cord Stile Collection: Bella V Shoulder Bag from Manfrotto is slightly larger than the Bella IV. It's a street shooting bag with a storage capacity of a DSLR and up to four lenses, plus flash and some accessories.

It's a lightweight, water-repellent bag that you can take just about anywhere. The exterior is, as mentioned, water-repellent nylon, so if you're out for that Sunday walk in the park and it suddenly rains or snows, your bag is protected. It's carried by a comfortable, wide shoulder strap, or by its nifty top grab handle.

Inside, your gear is safely stored between two touch fastened padded dividers that can be configured to suit your shooting needs. A nice feature of the Bella V is that you can keep your camera positioned at the ready, with lens attached. If you're traveling with only the camera and affixed lens and, perhaps, a flash, one of the dividers will fold out of the way making it easy to get your hand around the camera for rapid extraction. In addition to the main storage compartment, Manfrotto has included a front zippered pocket that will hold batteries, cables and memory cards. There is also room in the accessory pocket for your Manfrotto pocket tripod.

At a modest price, the Bella V can be your everyday bag when you only need a minimum of equipment for the day. It is warranted by Manfrotto against manufacturer's defects.

Interchangeable Dividers
Both modular and easy to use, these dividers allow you to custom fit the bag to create the exact size compartment for your gear

    Manfrotto MB SSB-5BC reviews

Stile Collection: Bella V Shoulder Bag (Bungee Cord) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact and effective I have a Kata full size backpack bag that carries multiple lenses and a laptop. Was looking for a day bag for a body with a lens and one other. This bag fit the need very well for a small body. I have Sony a7Rii + Nikkor 24-120 f/4 AF-S lens attached, and Sony 70-200 f/4 as the spare lens in this bag. Its a tight fit but it fits. I also have a spare battery and charger in it too. The only real drawback is that there is no external pocket on the backside. It would have been nice to have to be able to slip thin items in the back. I may try to find a way to create a pocket that I can attach for that purpose. Gave it 4 stars due to lack of back pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for my purposes. This bag is smaller than I expected it to be when I ordered, but it is perfect for what I need. There are three dividers you can move around to custom fit your gear. This bag perfectly holds my Leica M3 w/ 50-cron attached, my Fuji Natura Classica, and my Yashica-A TLR with room to spare. I can tuck probably 3-4 rolls of 35mm film in the cubby where my natura classica is. The front pocket is very flat so you can't stuff a bunch of junk in there -nor should you want to- so it keeps a smooth profile in the front. Bag snaps open easily, there is also a zipper close underneath the flap. The strap is comfortable and the bag hangs perfectly on my side. Basically, I'm super pleased with the feel and function of this bag. The layout makes it easy to grab my camera when I need, and the bag itself looks very sleek. Feels sturdy and well-made. Highly recommended. Thinking back to when I had my D300s, I wouldn't have tried to cram that + lenses into this bag. If you have one of those bigger SLR's, I'd recommend going with one of the larger Bella series bags. I can't imagine fitting more than one SLR and 1-2 lenses in this bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to carry Like the color and the overall simplicity for a day tripper type bag. This will be easy to carry and not allow me to overload. Still would like a tiny bigger size for the D700 and 105 lens, but it should work OK. Well made all ,but the over kill for a closing clasp. That is a tad hard to get a grip on for me. Seems out of place and heavy..Those extra lenses suggested in the add will have to be rather small to fit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bag for a smaller setup There are times when you don't want to carry the entire studio for your latest shoot and this bag makes it possible to carry the essentials. With room for a DSLR body, 2 lenses, charger and a front pocket for batteries and media this bag can carry what you need. I took off a star because the description says the bag can hold 4 lenses but unless they are pancake lenses I don't see how you can fit 4 along with a body in this bag. It's well made and should be able to stand up to normal wear and tear for quite some time. It is, however, not to be confused with a rugged bag and it isn't billed that way. The addition of the clip on the front can help to avoid dropping equipment if a user were to forget to secure the zipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect bag for my short walks with my family I used the bag mostly for my weekends with the family, it should be a lightweight bag with place for one standard telezoom lense and a DSLR with a 35mm lense - on top some additional batteries and SD cards. What should I see, this size was perfect for me. I use it frequently and I'm happy that I bought it. Meanwhile I used it more often than any other camera bag I had in the past. Sometimes I think the metal snap lock should be better out of plastic if it slaps against the table or against anything else (while opening the bag) - but it looks much better like this

Rated 3 out of 5 by from too small for full-frame or standard APS style DSLR's good bag, but it is more suited for compact 4/3 format cameras and lenses. I have both Canon dslr's and Pentax. The pentax is the smallest, but the Manufacturer's claim that it holds a camera w/ lens and two more lenses is WAY OFF. At best one camera, one med. size lens and a thin flash- the third compartment looks actually barely big enough if the other two are filled. The buckle is too stiff and bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well made, quality metal clasp, smooth zippers. Very well made, quality metal clasp, smooth zippers and lots of room for my Pentax DSLR and lenses. A better made camera bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad quality but smaller than I thought I like the metal clip, but find the flap to get in the way of me zipping it all up. It's also a bit smaller than I imagined, but maybe I should have read the specs more carefully? I bought it to hold my audio device (Tascam DR60 II) and my XLR audio cables to go with it. Also my Rode Videomic. They all fit a bit snug, but it'll do the job and I know I won't have to worry about a little drizzle because it's weather resistant. Good padding too! Not bad overall...
