Manfrotto MB SH-6BC overview

  • 1Description

The bungee cord Stile Collection: Solo VI Holster from Manfrotto is slightly larger than the Solo IV. It's a water-repellent nylon bag designed for the person who likes to travel light and shoot fast. The Solo VI is reminiscent in design of a 19th century cowboy's holster - at the ready to "shoot" when the opportunity presented itself.

Lightweight and durable, the Solo VI holds a DSLR with attached longer zoom (similar to a 100-400mm) in shooting position. You'll also have a front accessory pocket that holds batteries, cables and memory cards as well as an additional neat little pocket in which you can store your Manfrotto pocket tripod.

As mentioned, this is a real shooter's bag. It closes using either a zipper or quick release buckle - and each can be used independently. For example, if you're traveling in a car or subway and want to completely protect your equipment, use both. However, if you're walking through the park and are looking to shoot, unzip the bag and simply use the buckle that will hold the front flap in place until you are ready to rapidly withdraw your camera.

Carry the Solo VI by its wide, adjustable shoulder strap. At a touch more than half a pound, you'll hardly know it's over your shoulder. Backed by Manfrotto's warranty against defects as well as being reasonably-priced, the Solo VI is a bag to be reckoned with - both for its durability and functionality.

Quick Release Buckle
Unzip the bag and use the buckle to secure the front flap. It releases quickly so you can remove your camera to shoot
Single Pocket for Pocket Tripods
An integrated pocket is perfect for fitting Manfrotto pocket series tripods
Water-Repellent Nylon Exterior
A specially applied coating to the fabric keeps it moisture-resistant

    Manfrotto MB SH-6BC reviews

Stile Collection: Solo VI Holster (Bungee Cord) is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from WOW_MAJOR DISAPOINTMENT! Very poorly designed. Metal female portion of clip and plastic male portion-plastic into metal is a broken clip waiting to happen. The plastic zipper closure should be a separate piece from the flap with the clips. Sewing them together to save a few bucks makes it nearly impossible to close the zipper (even with some lithium grease applied). A major hassle & extremely poor design issue. The case needs to be, at least longer inside. It will not accommodate a camera, lens and hood (or, an attached strap). You must reverse the hood to get the camera into the case. The shoulder strap is something you would expect on a cheap case. It will either adjust too short or too long to be useful. And, the carry handle is completely unnecessary. Come on, Manfrotto-your reputation is better than this! I would have shipped it back to B&H: but it would have cost half of what I paid for it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No zip for inner pocket The bag is very good overall, but I believe it ought to have a zipper for the inner pocket as well. I use the inner pocket to place things such as an extra battery, a shutter release cable, cleaning cloth, etc. But when the outer pocket isn't zipped (i.e. when it's just buckled), I worry that these items might fall out when the bag is placed sideways, or when I move hectically. Granted this never happened because I paid attention, but these objects always seemed on the verge of dropping out. A zipper would also make it easier to tack these objects inside, as cables tend to protrude outside the pocket's limits. Of course you could always use the outer zipper (the only actual zipper), but then you'd have to unzip it everytime you wanted to use the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! This bag is a great minimalist solution for someone seeking a camera and one lens on the go. It will hold a long zoom, but no extra lenses here. A great bag to grab and go. It has good storage for the extras and is not bulky. It is well made and I can't find anything negative to say about this bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bag Bag is pretty nice. It's simple and straightforward. Nothing to fancy, which is ok for what I paid. One minor complaint is the front buckle, which is half metal and half plastic, doesn't really make a lot of sense. If it was 100% good quality plastic would have been better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good little bag Pros: Sturdy material and clip, nice color, great size for a telezoom. Cons: Not much room for anything else (wallet or glasses: ladies, you will still have to carry your purse!), zipper is hard to close and open (I leave it open pretty much all the time).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does What I Need It To Do I needed a bag large enough to carry and protect my D7500 with a 300MM F4 PF lens on short excursions when I don't need to carry a lot of other gear, and this does the trick. I am not crazy about the styling of the large metal buckle, but that is minor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice finish but can't hold 70-200mm I bought this one for my portrait shoot set (5DMKIII+70-200mmf2.8) but it can't fit, I guess I will be using this with my 24-35mm or with 50mm only, description says "For DSLR,Long Zoom in Shooting Position" that is misleading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from no side pocket It is large enough for Canon 5D with 24-70mm lense. But there was no closed pockets outside that can be accessed individually. There is one inside pocket without any means to close. I like the outside ones.
