The SpiderPro Base, Plate and Pin from SpiderPro Camera Holster are all components of the SpiderPro Single Camera System. The Plate secures to the bottom of your camera. The Pin attaches to the Plate or the base of your camera or lens tripod mount. Both pieces attach to the Base which is the hub of the entire system. It permits you to wear your camera on the optional SpiderPro belt, or on your own. For those planning on using a SpiderPro belt – you will need a sold separately, SpiderPro ThinkTank Pro-Speed Belt Adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spider Holster I use this for everyday photography with my Canon 50D. Its light weight, secure, and built very well. I will add a dab of Loc tite to the threads on the pin for added security. I don't like the way stock camera straps feel, i now have the weight of the camera on my side and secured to my belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent design but make sure you get their belt I initially got just the holster and the plate and thought i would make use of my personal belt. Bigistake. While the holster and plate are confidence inspiring the combination with my flimsy belt was not helping in retaining the camera in the intended position when walking. So i would suggest to go ahead and buy the holster plate and belt combo for $135. Or use any other lowepro or thinktank belt if u already hv one. U will still need to get their spider adapter to use with one of these belts.. I ended up buying spider belt separately and now the thing works as advertised.. So so convenient and comfortable carrying 2.5 pounds in my hips and not in my neck or shoulders.. Pricey but well worth it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why Didn't I Invent This!!! I previously purchased the Capture Clip from a local retailer to try it out. After putting it on, I immediately disliked how the camera sagged, so I returned it and ordered this one. I tried it on my own belt last night and I immediately knew it was a system MILES BETTER than the Capture Clip for strapless camera life even with Canon 5D3 with a 24-70 F2.8 mk1 and a Speedlite. Two big thumbs up!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost Too Easy I have never been comfortable using neck straps. I have tried the various shoulder straps and did not like them much either. The last couple of years I have carried my cameras either in a shoulder bag or backpack, generally hand carrying one of my cameras while walking/hiking. This has presented a safety hazard for me and the camera/lens, resulting sometimes in stopping to placing my camera in the bag/pack. I recently picked up the SpiderPro. I like the idea of being able to keep the camera at the ready, up tight against my body with very little sway as I move. The locking mechanism is simple yet strong, and very easy to manipulate...it becomes second nature the first day of use. The SpiderPro is also small and light weight, and is bearly felt while on my belt/waist. The use of the SpiderPro has finally given me comfort in regards to the safety it offers and ease of use carrying my camera at a very affordable figure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY CONVENIENT I should have bought this the moment it was first available. It's is so convenient to use especially when I need to do sometimt else and don't want to put the camera back in the bag or around my neck: I simply holster it!!! I recently bought the 1Dx and this is perfect as it also makes it easier for me to change lenses while I have the camera holstered. It is also a very sturdy product and probably indestructible. The quality and finish is of the highest standards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should've been using it from the start I've gone through several sling straps until finally using the BlackRapid Sport for a couple of years. However, as much of my equipment was on my waist to save my shoulders and back, I wanted this last shoulder burden gone. Also, I shoot in high heat or humidity environments and was tired of the sweat patches. It took a little fine tuning of the SpiderPro Base on my Think Tank Photo Thin Skin belt placement wise, using a 5/32 allen key. Once done though, I was shooting away for the next 8 days without a hitch. I like the placement, carry, and lack of concern I have with my equipment. I feel more secure about the equipment than before. Bonuses: My Arca-swift plate stays on the camera all the time and the SpiderPro Pin has become another contact point when holding the camera steady. I'm impressed. I like the SpiderPro unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spider holster Just got the holster a week ago, but already I can see the freedom and security of holding the unused camera. Wearing a camera around the neck allows for all sorts of bad things to happen when you need both hands and it becomes a swinging projectile. The holster remedies all that. It is strong, secure, and has a very confident feel when the camera is not in use. Very happy with the purchase. Wish I'd had it years ago. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great alternative... This is a great alternative to carrying your camera on a strap around your neck or in a backpack. Rather than buying the SpiderPro on its own belt I read about people attaching it to the Lowepro S&F Deluxe Technical Belt. Wanting a bit more support than the SpriderPro belt you could buy, I purchased the Lowepro S&F Technical belt and am very happy I did. It gives me great support, resting low on my hips which is very comfortable for me. The video was excellent to show you how to attach the base to the belt. It took a matter of a minute or two to do and I was in business. I'm very happy with it and will likely add another to the other side of the belt. The only possible limitation is if one is planning on wearing the belt and SpiderPro when doing rock scrambling with a long lens. You could possibly bang the lens, but I've not experienced that yet.
