    Vanguard AM-204S reviews

Espod AM-204S Aluminum Monopod w/Ball Head is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality for the price. I needed a simple, compact, lightweight monopod for hiking that didn't cost much since it will be abused quite a bit or even lost. This Vanguard fit the description perfectly. It's a higher quality product than the price suggest. A quick release plate would have been a nice addition, but would have added to the price and it's perfect as is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GOOD LIGHT DUTY MONOPOD I used this for underwater videography, while freediving, exclusively. Considering that I am pushing a camera along underwater, and at times, against strong currents, it held up nicely. Eventually, the screw on the ball head broke off, after about 12 - 15 hours use in the water. Will buy a more heavy duty model next, for what I am doing. The rest of the monopod has held up beautifully. This would be a very nice unit for someone who needs a steadier hand, out of the water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again. Loved the overall quality of this monopod. Very lightweight. The only complaint is the ball head - it doesn't stay tight in the vertical camera position all that well. Definitely would recommend though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I bought this monopod for that extra bit of stability needed to stop the blur you get when your not 100% steady. Works great for me. You can also use it as an extension for getting in closer to the performers when reaching over a barrier. Could not be happier with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very handy compact solution to steadying This monopod screws onto the camera and steadies it. I used it for filming concerts and it solved the problem of the wavering picture. The legs can be let out to whatever length you need to steady it on your lap or on the floor. It also has a tilt disc that allows you to tilt your camera to different angles. IT is compact and easy to carry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid I use this monopod, almost exclusively, for underwater shots. I've used it for two dives so far and it's rock solid. The ball head adjusts quickly and precisely, without any problems or hassles. Simple, well designed, and affordable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and stable Pretty good. Just tall eneough for me (6'0) - wouldn't be good for anyone taller

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for GoPro You have to buy the tripod mount to use GoPro, light, strong enough
