    Vanguard AM-233 reviews

Espod AM-233 Aluminum Monopod w/Tilt Head is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally picked One Up... I strive to be different, I have finally broken down and picked up a Mono ... I am either hand held or on a tripod. With the Mono it gives you the ability to be in between. For that shot that's not requiring a tripod or just long enough to blur with hand held. Also gives you a little bit more creativity and options. Since it is Winter and cold as hell, I have been doing this. Plugging the mono between the seat and door of my car after I get to the area I am shooting. pop the DSLR on and shoot away ... Fair Warning, Do not do this when you are driving, it is not smart. Wait till you park then go for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and quick I needed a monopod to help me steady my long lens shots when the use of a tripod was not permitted. This one works for me. It is lightweight and opens quickly. I like having 2 quick flip leg locks instead of the 3 or more twist locks. I have added a Kirk quick release clamp to the Tilt Head to use the quick release plates mounted to the tripod feet of my 70-200 and 80-400 lenses. My max load is a D700 w/ battery pack and 80-400 lens. Have had no problems supporting that weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My first monopod -- Love it so far! I didn't gave a monopod yet and wanted a starter one. After reading the reviews on this one, I decided to get it and I'm pleased! I used it for a sport reel I'm putting together and it was great. I have a Nikon D90 and it didn't add any more weight. There were no shakes ... and being 5'5 it helped me get eye-level with my 6'3 subject (lol). So far, I love it -- especially the belt clip, which came in so handy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Carry Accessory My first Monopod..Just GREAT,Its lightweight just a shade over a Lb.Sets up easy only 2 leg locks and clips to my belt loop w/supplied clip or wrist strap for safety/downpull.On my beltloop i hardly know its there only for the occassional leg bump. Love it and it will travel many miles/shoots with me.Price is good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product! This monopod is what I was looking for. Sturdy, but light enough to use it during hiking instead of one of mine walking sticks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Monopod for Frequent Use As an amateur photographer/student I am using my Vanguard Monopod frequently on varied terrain. It is well-made and durable. While there may be lighter monopods with quicker mounting systems, I find this Vanguard product exceptionally useful and reliable for the price.
