question

Hi, Is the Quick Release Plate made of metal or plastic? I'm concerned if it's made of plastic, since I wouldn't like to see my camera+lens slipping out due to non strong enough quick release system. Also, does the quick release Mount have a Lock system to prevent accidental drops off? Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
The quick release plate on the Canon Deluxe Tripod 300 is plastic, however, this will not mean the camera/lens will slip out of the clamp. The quick release mount does indeed have a lock system.

question

I think I have an older version of this tripod. Is there a quick release part that I can buy that will fit this tripod separately (I lost mine)?
Asked by: Anonymous
For this tripod Canon uses the same plate as several Sunpak tripods. Below is a link to the plate we have to fit your tripods head:http://bhpho.to/1esuwpG

question

I am wondering if this tripod is compatible with my canon 5d mark II? i know nothing about tripods and am not sure if they're universal or not..thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
The tripod is compatible with the 5D but you would want to be careful using bigger, professional lenses. The load rating for that tripod is 4.4 pounds so you want to keep that in mind. This tripod is generally recommended for smaller cameras such as the Rebel series.
