USB 3.1 Gen 1 Universal Memory Card Reader is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't read Lexar Pro 1000x cards This reader worked perfectly when using my Sandisk Extreme Pro cards, but I recently purchased a Lexar 1000x card and found this reader would not work with the Delkin. Delkin customer service was responsive and quickly provided me with a firmware update, but that didn't help. They have promised to look into the matter - but for those of us needing to upload images now, that doesn't really help. I purchased a Lexar USB 3.0 reader, which solved the problem. The Lexar reader is for SD and CF cards only, but the difference in build quality and performance makes the slightly higher price more than worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 reasons to NOT buy this card reader! 3 reasons not to buy this card reader. 1.Not compatible with newer UDMA 7 CF cards. Well, it is compatible if you are ok with USB 1.0 speed transfers. 2.About half the time I try to read a Sandisk 8GB 30MB/s Extreme SDHC card the card will not be recognizied by Windows 7x64 unless I unplug and replug the card reader to the computer. NEVER have this problem when reading CF cards, so it is the reader. 3. Build quality is pretty awful, cheap feeling, lightweight plastic, no confidence in the durability of this product. Frankly I am extremely ticked off that I wasted my money on this Delkin card reader and did not discover the problems with it until after my return period was over. NEVER again will I buy Delkin products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from USB 3.0 Reader sent back to Delkin. The 1st time I downloaded immages from my new camera (Canon 7d) I noticed that many jpeg images were over lapping each other. My new camera, my new PC? I started trouble shooting right away. taking pictures with various cameras, various brand name memory cards. trying various USB ports in my PC (both USB 2 & 3) Still the same thing. Then I took the same CF cards and put them in both a USB2 Delkin and USB2 SanDisk readers and like Magic the problem was gone. I proved the problem was with the new USB3 card reader. I sent Delkin a E-Mail detailing the problem and what I did to prove to myself that the problem is in the new USB3 reader. Delking sent me back a RMA# and instructions to send the device back, and promised to send me a NEW replacement. I haven't got the new one yet, but when I do I promise to let you know the results. Rated 1 out of 5 by from my worst nightmare This card reader corrupt files transfered from multiple CF cards from mulitple cameras. I didn't realize it until too late because the .jpgs were previewing fine. Once I saw the high res RAW files uploaded in Lightroom or Photoshop I finally saw the problem. I lost really important files from weddings and paid projects. I am beyond frustrated, and can't beleive a card reader could do so much damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and Effective. The first reader arrived and was DOA. No big deal as BH was speedy and accommodating in exchanging the defective product. The replacement was just fine and does everything as promised. I'm sure there are competitors that make equally sufficient products but I purchased on previous experience with the manufacturer. When I had issues with the first Reader I called Delkin just to make sure it wasn't user error and they were polite and professional and happy to help in any way. Based on my experience with their customer service, and B&H of course, I will continue to buy their items when presented with the option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Card Reader The card reader works on my mac mini but not on my mac pro 8 core hhmmm Mac doesn't support USB 3.0 so I wouldn't expect to use it at all much less at high speeds if you're a Mac owner. I brought this card reader and my mac pro to the local mac store to find out if there is something wrong with my computer and after trying it on multiple other Mac computers none worked but one and it flickered then turned off. I've owned Delkin before and have had good success. I'll buy another one if they figure out how to make a mac accept it or if mac will support USB 3.0.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly fast, it will spoil you! Its flat design allows it to fit on top of my desktop computer and under a shelf which is only about 1 above the computer. It is easy to load a card and pull it out afterwards, even with the low overhead clearance. But the best thing about it is that it is very fast and is my preferred method of getting images into my computer. For my setup, the 3 foot cord is a perfect length, but a 6 foot cord would be a better option for more flexibility for many types of setups. The only con I can think of is that now I'm going to have to buy a new laptop with USB 3.0, because the speed of image transfer has spoiled me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this I was in great expectation of a USB3 CF card reader on the market at last, we bought 2 and neither of them work efficiently. Most times the computer can not even see the device. Have gone back to our Sandisk firewire 400. And yes we use brand new purpose built PC's for our jobs.
