Electro-Voice 311 reviews

311 Microphone Stand Clamp (3/4") is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for AKG C-414's I don't know why AKG can't seem to design a high quality, robust mic clip -- they make such excellent microphones! Anyway, I've been using this clip for years with our 414's. They hold the mics very securely, and the angled design of the top part enables good flexibility in positioning without interfering with the XLR jack -- very handy design. It's not a shock mount, and so won't work for everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pricing ... on the Planet! bhphotovideo@after much research had the best pricing and availability on the hard to find Electro Voice 311 microphone stand mount/clip. The competition was 25% to 35% higher for the same item provided they even had the item!If you have any high-end EV mics, chances are you will need to replace a lost or stolen 311 clip. Breaking one is next to impossible as they rate high for reliability and function among the expansive and innovative sound guru community.I love my 311's.. You will too! Happy Shopping! JM

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest Microphone Clamp This is the greatest mic clamp I have ever purchased. I got a used EV 635A off * (can I say that here?) and it came with the original bag, instructions, even the warranty card, but alas no mic clamp! I asked my friend and they laughed in my face. 3/4 mic clamp they said. Why didn't you just get a SM 57 they laughed. Well, when this puppy arrived, I had the last laugh. Very secure, I feel comfortable using it in a live setting and this is the best price I found after hours of searching online. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item, Great Price, ... I purchased 3 of these to use with EV 635A microphones on booms. The 635A comes with a 312 snap in holder that's fine when used on a floor stand but the 311 is more secure for boom use. These are brand new genuine EV in original boxes made in the USA, not an inferior product from .... The price is very reasonable since they are made here. ...I highly recommend EV products and B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, holds mics tight I needed this for a very old EV dynamic mic (DS35) I have that I love on snare drums. It goes onto an LP mount that clamps to the bottom rim of a snare. This clip holds the mic tight, without any slipping with the vibrations of being physically bound to a snare drum. Other generic mic clamps/clips weren't doing the trick. A necessary item for narrow-diameter mics.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NOT REALLY FOR EV 635A I bought a few 311's for my Electro-Voice 635A mic, as this appeared to be, based on B&H website, THE ONE. However, it differs from the original clamp in that barrel opening is smaller and mic has to be coaxed in. However, it will do. Beats hand-holding and duct tape!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for Vintage Microphones I bought three EV 311's to use with my Altec Lansing M49 Studio Condenser mikes. The original Altec clips are not to be trusted, the EV's are much more robust and since they're a slide-in design, there's less chance of something bad happening to the mike

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Snap! In a good way, these hold 3/4 mics (the ones the same size as an XLR connector) snugly. They have a little strip of foam that shreds upon first use, but it's not needed to hold mics securely.
