The 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF from Rokinon gives you a 167° view with dramatic, exaggerated perspective when used with an APS-C camera, or a circular image floating in the frame when used with a full frame digital camera or 35mm film camera. Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Overview

The 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF from Rokinon gives you a 167° view with dramatic, exaggerated perspective when used with an APS-C camera, or a circular image floating in the frame when used with a full frame digital camera or 35mm film camera. With hybrid aspherical lenses and multi-layer coating, you will produce sharply defined images with a minimum of flare and ghosting. The 8mm manual focus lens focuses as close as 1' (30.48 cm) from the lens, and has a built-in petal lens hood.

I bought this lens for a creative boost in getting out and shooting more. It has been a fun exploration in learning the dynamics of a fish eye lens. The price to quality ratio met my expectations and needs. I would recommend this lens to anyone looking for a creative boost.

Used it for some real state projects a couple of times I was in a rush. Might get a little soft in the corners and isn't perfect for handling big contrast situation. But other than that I strongly recommend this lens for anybody who doesn't need to have top-notch professional quality. Great for the average shooter.

In skate videography our equipment takes a MASSIVE beating. Although this lens doesn't necessarily last through all of them at least it's inexpensive to replace. Would highly recommend for anyone but professionals

Used my new 8mm f/ 3.5 lense on my Canon 90D , Crop sensor camera. Very crisp photos with excellent curvature! This lens provides a unique perspective to say the least. Can't wait to use this lense at the Grand Canyon in May 2022.

The Rokinon 8mm Fisheye Lens for Nikon F mount is a great, lightweight lens at an amazing price. It attaches smoothly to my Nikon D7100 and is fun as well as an enhancement tool for dramatic, creative landscapes.

Using Canon T3i: this lens, with non-removable hood, is noted as compatible with the T3i. Comparing this lens to the same model WITH removable hood, is there an issue with vignetting? Seems that buying the version with removable hood provides a perfect option as the hood can be added or removed. Am I missing something? Is there a reason to NOT get the removable hood version for use with my T3i?

Aside from personal preference, the version with the removable hood can take up less room in storage if the hood is removed or reverse. There will not be any vignette issues caused by the hood on either version of the lens.

Unfortunately, the Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 fisheye does not have a front filter thread, nor is there a filter holder on the market for this lens I am aware of. So, you could not use filters with this lens.

Yes. This lens is compatible with all Canon crop sensor only dlsr cameras. I use on my 7D. Image quality is above average. I often use for sunset time lapses at f16 and long exposure milky way images at f3.5.
