The Live view button on my Nikon D500 does not work when the lense is that F2.8 aperture, the moment i turn the aperture of the lense to F22, the live view button works, does anyone faced this issue, is this an issue?
Asked by: Rajbir
That’s why f22 is in red on the aperture ring. On nikons with manual aperture rings including Nikon lenses themselves. You set to smallest aperture and adjust through your camera body. It’s just letting you know something is set wrong.

question

I have the canon version but it thinks it is an auto focus lens how do I talk to the chip to tell it to be manual? yes it won't let the shutter release unless it confirms focus on my 6D!John
Asked by: Anonymous
This is a fully manual lens. The focus confirm chip enables the use of your camera's focus confirm feature. If you are having trouble with your camera firing witht his lens, you may want to try disengaging the shutter lock setting on your camera's menu.

question

Will this work on my nikon 1j1 ?
Asked by: Claudia
The Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Lens For Nikon with AE Chip has the Nikon F-mount, so it would not be compatible with the Nikon 1 cameras, such as the J1. Unfortunately, it does not look as though Rokinon makes an option for the Nikon 1 cameras.
