The Davis & Sanford Fusion Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Fluid Head is a full camera support system for either photography or videography. With an integrated 3-way fluid head that features a pan bar, the lightweight tripod is also well-suited for pursuits such as bird watching.

Composed of aluminum alloy and high-strength plastic, the Fusion tripod reaches a maximum height of 61" with its 3-section legs and geared center column fully extended. The tripod system weighs only 3.7 lb and supports loads up to 8 lb.

The Fusion head features a built-in fluid system, which effects smooth movements for when you're shooting video or following a bird in flight. Movements are possible in two tilt directions, including portrait tilt. The easy-grip pan and tilt bar works with the calibrations for pan and tilt to ensure perfect leveling and precise adjustments and moves.

The quick-release system is about as quick as possible: Just pull the lock release lever, and pull out the plate. Featuring a video pin, the quick-release plate is non-keyed, meaning it can be inserted into the head as it faces any direction. Folding down to 25", the Fusion tripod system includes a carry bag.

Ballast hook at the bottom of the geared center column allows you to hang a camera bag or other weight for added stability under uneven loads or in windy conditions
Adjustable leg support brace with lock enhances the tripod's stability
Non-slip rubber feet are adjustable
Bubble level
Black anodized finish

Fusion Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Fluid Head is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Fluid Head. Don't Buy Finally I tried this tripod in football game last night. If you're looking for a fluid head, you'll be very disappointed. I also have Magnus VT-300 which is a decent 2-way fluid head but pretty long. D&S Fusion doesn't work at all. Maybe mine is a defect. When I pan from left corner to right corner, it chokes many times. I had to fight to make it pan and tilt. It ends up a very jerky video, even worse than my Slik ballhead. D&S Fusion is not a true 3-way fluid head. It only has an extra plate for you to put it in a fixed angle, just like your adjusting one of the tripod legs. Regarding the size, it's almost as long as my Magnus. Money wasted. It doesn't deserve any star at all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not really fluid. This does not have a fluid pan. I figured for the price it wasn't going to have a True pan like my pro fluid head but this was worse than the $19 tripod that I put WD-40 on to make it pan smooth. The tilt, on the other hand, is VERY fluid. It works like I expected. I bought it for still photo work and as a backpack tripod for when I wanted to do video work in the mountains. It works great for stills which is wy I'm keeping it. The carring bag is nice. If your looking for a video tripod save for a Pro VISTA. It's worth the extra weight and smooth pans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good tripod for the price I'm an independent documentary filmmaker so I have to be ready to take the moment at any situation. I'm testing this product on a project and till now it's doing its work very well. Although, there is a small issue with left pan I already figured out how to solve it. It takes some time to learn how correctly using this gear but worth it. Tilts are suprisingly smooth and it's not heavy. Thanks BH, good service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great value for basic use I am enjoying using this tripod very much. I needed a new one because I had a very inexpensive Targus brand tripod that was great for a small digital point and shoot or phone, but was nowhere beefy enough to support a digital SLR. Use: amateur photographer, shooting a variety of subjects- sports, landscape, wildlife, events Pros: - Easy to use - Lots of adjustments- 2 leg pieces, crank adjustment for height, tilt for camera- everything you need to level out your shot - bubble level - light and compact- great for hauling around, hiking, backpacking, travel - decent construction for use and price - case with shoulder strap Cons: -It's hard for me to invent any! - If you have heavy equipment, large lenses, it may not be beefy enough - Mostly plastic connectors and handles/levers, so could fail with heavy or rough use -fairly stable, but I use with beanbags/rock bag, for extra stability.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Fluid in the Head Resaonably priced. But the horizontal pan is very stiff. Vertical adjustment requires adjusting a second knob. Certainly not a fluid motion. The company suggested panning rapidly 100 times to loosen it up. This did improve the horizontal pan somewhat, but the design obviously has a defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Fluid Movement I needed an inexpensive fluid head tripod for a small camcorder - this one is terrific for the price - its not a $500 fluid head tripod - but for working with a small camcorder or DSLR - fills the bill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Build This is a very durable tripod that I can trust! The only thing that I didn't like is that there is no leveler bubble for the camera plate. There is one for the legs but none for the camera.
