The Que Audio QAD3 Q-Compact to XLR Male Phantom Power Adapter features an electronic balancing circuit and allows phantom powered, low-impedance operation and increased gain / sensitivity of the Que Audio Q Mini shotgun microphones (batteries need to remain in mic). The QAD3 also works to phantom power and operate the Q the Talent headworn, and Q Performance Series microphones.

QAD3 Q-Compact to XLR Male Phantom Power Adapter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Device is Fine, Dissapointed with Mic This device works fine for its intended use - providing phantom power to a Que Audio microphone. However, I was pretty dissapointed in my Que Audio microphone. I wrote a separate review of that device, but I bring it up for one main reason - part of the design of those microphones includes the fact that small watch batteries are required for their use. Without them, there is no complete circuit. As such, even if you provide the microphones with phantom power using this device, you still need those watch batteries. If you forget to turn your microphone off (because, you know, you've turned off the box providing phantom power), you can kill those batteries. I was told by a B&H representative that when phantom power is provided, the batteries are not actively drained. However, the Que Audio website's instructional video said something along the lines of phantom power runs in parallel with the batteries, which seems to suggest that they are drained. In any case, I would be carrying extra watch batteries with me all the time...even with this device, which for me really took away from the whole system. This device does NOT mean you don't need the batteries as a power source.
