    Rated 2 out of 5 by from If ONLY ... .. the locking mechanism actually locks in place. This adapter was mounted on a 50mm f1.8. I actually have to hold the locking ring in place with my focusing hand and use my trigger finger to focus. If I don't hold it in place, the locking ring starts sliding over to the open side which results in the iris being fully open instead of the aperture setting I originally had it on. I haven't had the chance to mount it to my other FD lenses but I suspect the same will happen. If it does, I will be returning this back to B&H. Good thing B&H has a great return and customer service. If ONLY the locking mechanism actually locks in place, I would have given this a much higher rating. Other than the bad locking ring design, a good strong build.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from limited use My Canon 24mm f/2.8 FD BL s.s.c lens did not fit snugly onto the mount. It did go on, and then function as it should, but wobbled so much the focus was affected. My Canon 50mm f/1.8 FD lens worked fine with the adaptor. It may be that the breech lock type mounts just don't fit correctly on this adaptor.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as Advertised I bought this to extend the useful life of my old Canon lenses, when I bought my Sony NEX 5T. It works just like it's supposed to, as a simple adaptor. The locking aperture ring, still kind of a mystery to me as to its purpose, moves freely, and lenses go on and off without much trouble. My only complaint is that my one FD BL (Breech Lock) lens won't mount properly on it. It never gets snug, and it wobble slightly, so that I can't use that lens. The newer FD lenses mount up fine.
